Hey Disboards community! Long time reader/listener, first time popping in to post!

DW is treating me to a weekend at DLR for my birthday this May! She asked for recommendations for a nice table service restaurant to take me for my big birthday supper and I drew a blank! What are your favorite restaurants, either in the parks, in Downtown Disney, or at the on-property hotels, to mark a special occasion? Thank you! 🤗

Many people love Napa Rose. Be aware, their reservation system is different (opens on the 1st of the month for the entire month for 60 days out. ie Opens Mar. 1 for the entire month of May.) Carthay Restaurant is also a very nice sit down. We usually go a few steps off site to Flemings or Morton's. Really depends on your tastes.

As posted above: Napa Rose & Carthay are favorites. Other favorites - less formal / fancy but still fun - Lamplight Lounge & Blue Bayou for the ambiance.

Would this also be the case at Napa Rose for the princess breakfast?

When I booked last year, Princess Breakfast was 60 days in advance (like most other restaurants).
I believe only the Chef's Counter has the unusual booking windows.

California Grill - get a table around fireworks time, have a drink on the balcony. 3 course dinner with wine pairing is incredible. Service is top notch. It is my favorite spot in Disney.

Unless this is new, I don't think it exists at Disneyland? Are you maybe thinking of WDW?

What a great present! My first thought for a fancy dinner is Blue Bayou, just because it's so unique. You could look at the menu and see if it looks appealing to you.

You might also consider the River Belle Terrace Fantasmic dinner (Premium with table seating and a view.)

World Of Color Dessert party would be another very special treat, even thought it's just desserts.

Just popping in to say welcome, @ryrythedisneyguy! I hope you'll have a celebratory drink at Trader Sam's as well. It's a blast, and the opposite of fancy-schmancy. Have a wonderful time!
