Hi, we will be heading to Disney from JFK Airport. Anyone ever use their Long Term parking facilities? If so, do you think the facility was secure enough to leave your car for a week and was the transportation to and from the Airport quick and safe?

Hi,

Yes, we do it often. You can park in the long term parking area for $15/day ($5 for each 8-hour period). Then you need to take the Air Train (monorail-like vehicle) from the parking area. The Air Train will stop at all terminals.

Make sure you allow an extra half hour to find a parking place, walk to the Air Train Station from your car, wait for the Air Train, and ride the Air Train to your terminal.

I've used it in the past but with kids I prefer Avistar. With a coupon it's a good deal.

The first time we flew out of JFK, we used the long term parking. I wrote down the bus stop so I knew where to get off. I figured that everything was good. Now the trip was over and we're picking up our bags and I'm reading the signs for long term parking. I did not know that there were multiple long term lots!! I asked the guy next to me if my bus stop sounded familier to him and it did so I got on the same bus as him. Fortunately, I was on the right bus.

All in all it was a positive experience using the long term lot at JFK, just remember to find out which lot you're in before you leave your car.
