:confused3 Am planing a trip in 2010 is it safe to say that the price goes up about 5 to 10 per yr and is it also safe to say that by booking early about 12 months in advance that you can save about 25 per cent ? Looking to stay 4 day two bedroom suite. :cool1:

We booked as soon as the rates came out for our August 2006 cruise. The rates came out in September of 2004, almost 2 years in advance. Our cruise has since gone up about $1700 total, within the last 10 months. This is about 25% of the total cost of the cruise (4 people; 2 cabins; 1 verandah cabin and 1 inside cabin). I would guess that the cost of our cruise will continue to go up over the course of the next year.

With Disney cruises, the sooner you book, generally, the more you save.

Hope this helps :)

I don't think it's fair to say that costs go up 5-10% per year. We tend to book early or on board, and costs have remained very constant over the last couple of years. THis obviously doens't include things like the repo cruises.

If you are looking to book a 2 bedroom suite, you need to fax your requested dates to DCL ASAP. They maintain a list of those requests in advance of the dates being released. When the dates/rates are released, they call the people who have made a request--you do have a reasonable amount of time to make your deposit or lose your request (no deposit required at time of fax).

I'm not at all sure that they ever discount the suites as they have no problem filling them!

I agree that you must fax your request into DCL ASAP. I am lucky to have a Cat#1, the WDW suite #8030 for a 7day in 02/06. I made mt request two years earlier while on the same cruise. The only difficulty I see is that I have read numerous times that on the 3 & 4 day cruises, the suites are held back for those booking the 7 day land/sea combo. You did not mention if you were planning on a combo or wanted cruise only. Either way good luck.
