Happy New Year!

I've been a lurker on this board for over a year. I am beginning the process of putting together our vacation plans for 10 people (two toddlers, two teen-agers, four adults and two grandparents). I believe the "Home-Away From Home" Villas are our best bet for maintaining our sanity! I am looking to rent a two bedroom and a studio at the Beach Club Villas from 2/14/07 to 2/22/07. I know it cannot be booked until 11 months before we plan to check-out (3/22/06). I also think I have the point total we will need (412 + 159 = 571 points) for the 9 night stay. My question is this...Are there owners out there that have this many points to rent? Is not, what are my options?

You will want to go over to the rent and trade board to find out what is avail right now and put in your request.

Now, tacoach, rather than rent, have you thought about just taking the plunge, and BUYING? You are paying a renter, such as myself, a minimum of $5,710 just for your next vacation. That's 1/2 the cost of the 150 pts needed to buy pts that you will have for the next 50 years! Right now SSR is having a 15% off sale for those pts, so that's about the cheapest you will ever see them, and you will get current pts-150, and this year's pts-150, so that's 300 pts right there for your vacation. If you buy a few more, say 200 pts, then you will have 400 pts, enough for your whole vacation! The beauty of this is that in 2007 you will have ANOTHER 200 pts toward your next vacation! Give it some thought.

Yes, there are some members with enough points to make this reservation. If you are unable to find a single member able to help, you can have multiple members reserve portions of the dates you want and all can be linked together thru DVC so you wouldn't need to move.

When you are certain exactly what you will need, just post on the DVC Rent/Trade Board and see if someone can help.
