I've seen lots of reports of long wait times, but I called today to make a change to my reservation and was on the phone for less than 10 minutes to get it done.
When is a good time to call? 2 weeks ago today I was on hold for almost 50 minutes...I did other stuff while waiting...but WOW-really?
I need to call & check on something.....but I'm dreading the wait.
Given the nightmare scenario that IS the Disney website right now, I'm not at all surprised that the phone lines are all jammed up. Seems like the only way to get things done right now is to multitask with your phone close by with the speaker phone on.
I was on hold for over 30 minutes TWICE yesterday. Gave up both times. I called back at about 7:15 this morning, was on hold for about 10 minutes before I got through. Finally!!!

I've been trying to make some last minute changes on the web-site without much success. Even a simple matter like pulling up an ADR, which the website locates, hit cancel the reservation and get an error message. Combine this with a busy time of the year and you get jammed phone lines.
I called earlier and was quoted a wait time of "more than 30 minutes" and it tooke them an hour and 45 minutes to finally take my call! Thank goodness for speakerphone!! LOL.
It also doesn't help that new Visa discounts just came out yesterday, and will come out for the general public on 1/3. I'd try phoning right when phone lines open.
We called last night at 9:45 eastern time thinking it wouldn't be that bad of a wait...total call time was one hour. But the CMs were super friendly and did say that phones had been extremely busy yesterday.

Yesterday I called three times; 30mins, 25mins and 40mins. The 25min one, the CM finally picked up and in my hurry to grab the phone, I hit "cancel" on the touchscreen
yes, the combination of the new Disney Visa promo coming out yesterday, the blizzard weather cancelling flights everywhere( people trying to figure out what to do since they can't get TO disney), and the website going bonkers- people cant do online check in, pull up info or make payments. The website is no help- everyone has to call for everything. I was lucky yesterday, i got through after 45 minutes to ebook my trip with the new promo, I heard someone say they were on hold 3 HOURS
Guess I was pretty lucky, I was only on hold for about 20-25 minutes this morning. Called about 9:30 EST. Got a really, really nice CM who made my ressy for me at Coronado Springs.

Wow, i was even luckier (by a bit). After being told around noon to call but quoted a wait time of more than hour by an online rep who "popped up" in a chat screen when i tried to do visa promo online, i called around 430 pm and had wait time under 10nmins (maybe even less than 5)- the call itself took about 20-30 mins b/c there were some errors on our profile and we had multiple rooms to be booked and then linked, and their computer froze at one point.
