Day 1 off to a magical start
Cast: me 35 obsessive planner soon to be called sergeant dread. I worked tediously on line to plan a magical trip I had AR to the nicest restaurants on the dining plan I had done my homework and by god it is going to pay off.
DH: SITM (stick in the mud) 36 never wants to do anything new or different, walks really slowly and curses way too much, and if my kids arent complaining he soon is and of course they have to join in.
DS15: TCJ (too cool J) to be 16 way too soon. The main advocate for Earl of sandwich instead of nice sit down dinners .are you already seeing a trend here I might as well not have even planned for this trip .all this one wants to do is go to the mall.
DS12:TAL (talks a lot) I need to rename this one majorly jealous and insecure or even cries a lot or big brother wanna be. It has become majorly apparent that this child suffers from youngest child syndrome
We arrive on time and had a grand first flight for the family cept me experience. I of course had to shop at MCO. Wow what a fantastic airport .finally found a Mickey handed person waited in a short line to get to POR. No line for check in, no line for the boat ride to DTD.
Once at DTD we ate at Earl of Sandwich this being the first time of many to come cuz my boys loved this place. Me and TAL shopped for pins picked up our PAL Mickey (yes I forgot the certificate) then we went over to Disney Quest. I am glad I didnt have to pay to get in here cuz it is really not worth it. My TAL really liked the build your own roller coaster then ride thing and we did this twice. Other than that not much for them to enjoy as it was pretty crowded. We then went back to the resort boys swam for a bit then off to sleep for an early morning. I guess eating a sandwich at 3 would not hold the growing boys over till morning so we also did a late dinner at the POR counter and the greasy bacon double cheese burgers were really good. If this works you should see a picture of the view from out room at POR stay tuned for more as I have time I actually divorced my husband in magic kingdom.
Day 2 We are up early in the morning to take advantage of EMH at AK.I happened to love this park but my kids being teen and pre teen are not yet Impressed. We went straight to the safari and it was really cute. Then we did the walk through and really lingered at the apes. They were so active and playful the morning we were there. Its tough to be a bug was fantastic I laughed so hard. Now buy this time my kids are looking for excitement. Bring on the rollercoasters MOM!!! I had already planned to split this day so we took in a few of the lovely sites at AK got a few autographs (little did I know that introducing TAL to this would completely alter my trip). Off to MGM. We had a blast at this park. I must tell you that I bought rain gear and packed it however SITM didnt want to carry a back pack. Needless to say we bought the Disney rain ponchos yeah I didnt say I told ya so. We did the TOT 3 times. The lines are not all that bad I am at this point saying how lucky I am no more than 20 min lines. We did have to wait a while for Sci Fi dining and I did have reservations. I really think the boys like this part of the day. So Day 2 did not include a nap or down time but hey we are young and energetic and by god we are in Disney!!! Now I dont remember many daily details after this but I do remember that by the time we got to MK the lines were so long we accomplished nothing. I was so under apprecitiated on the planning I did and I was traveling with such slopokes I gave up. I told my husband while in line at MK for one of the shows that I wanted a divorce. We finally did some solo activities that renewed the magic of our trip. One day me and TCJ went to the mall while TAL and SITM went back to the water park. Then TAL and I had a fantastic day alone at MK. We didnt accomplish much but we had great seats on top of the train station for the parade. We took the boat to Wilderness lodge and ate lunch at whispering canyon café and it is the most memorable day. I actually am thinking of running away just me and TAL. It was a fantastic way to relax on the boat ride and the lunch was really fun. I will try to update this at a later time .
