Long delays on Virgin LGW-MCO routes again

I was checking the times regularly following the attempted terrorist attacks, but stopped when they seemed to be getting back on track. I've just looked at the times for the last couple of days and there have been some horrendous delays again. Considering MCO is reporting 80% of flights on time, that's not good enough, Virgin!

I agree it hasn't been looking good the last few days, i even checked the weather to see if it was interfering and its not that, oh well, have to wait and see,

I wonder why?

We had a seven hour delay in August but expected that due to the timing (just after the new security measures were enforced)

I hope they get back on track for those of you travelling soon, anyway.

I flew back earlier in the week and VS27/28 was affected as they had a problem with one of the 747's and it needed a new part so they have been one plane down. The MCO plane was borrowed for another flight so had to wait for an incoming plane - I would think this has had a knock effect. They were expecting to be a plane short for at least 5 days.

As we are going with BA on Thursday I have been checking them and they seem to be on time but our friends who we left on Thursday for their first week in Las Vegas (meet us for their second week and our first in WDW) went with Virgin and had a three hour delay.

Hope it gets better quickly for everyone

Left a little late and with the head wind looks like it will be about 45 minutes late landing, although they could make up a bit of time if the wind eases.

I've just been checking on the VA website and of all the flights that have departed for the US today, all except the Orlando flights have left within 20 minutes of their advertised time so it has to be something to do with this particular route! Wonder what though????

We always try to get on the 27, but had to book the 15 for this trip. Hope things improve before we fly in 10 days! I feel a SDD coming on any day now .
