Long But Abbreviated June 17 through June 28 Report

Thanks for the report. If you don't mind me asking, how much (per person) is the Beluga interaction at Sea World. That sounds amazing.

Our cost was somewhat of an interesting experience in itself.
The program currently only allows 2 people maximum per session with only 2 sessions (2PM and 430PM) per day. Original booking cost was $130 per person, but you could book it for a little less if you had a platinum or (I think) Gold Seawold passport. We booked both of the slots for 2PM.

On memorial day (while I was out at sea) I received a call from Seaworld. They were explaining that on Thursdays in June and July, the training staff had made a decision to only have the program for the 430PM slot. I would either have to agree to have our reservation moved from 2PM to 430PM, or agree to whatever other date changes were left available, or cancel outright. I agreed to the 430PM time change for the same day and they offered to refund $30 per person. So, in the end, our net cost was $100 per person. After we arrived, I was told that we received the employee level discount for program participation.

wow! I dont think Id have the guts (or the stamina) to do all that hotel hopping but it sounds like it turned out fantastic

thanks for sharing and hopefully you guys get back soon

It was not stressful, but rather adventuresome. pirate:

The offsite properties (Gaylord, Hilton, Peabody, Sheraton, Clarion, Homestead) we engaged were very pleasant experiences, never overcrowded and easy to check in/out of. They seemed appreciative of our business. Also allowed us to easily access alot of offsite dining and shopping after full days (and some nights) in various parks. Since we went to both WDW and many other attractions/parks throughout the Orlando area, this worked very well for us.

Indeed we are hoping to be back in Florida either late this year, or are looking at doing WDW overseas next year in Japan or Europe.

Since we live 75 miles from Disneyland/CA we visit those often, including the 50th celebration already.

All I can say is WOW! That was an incredible trip. But I'm exhausted just reading about it. We were there June 18-24 also and I was bracing for unbearable heat, but was pleasantly suprised when the overcast skies kept the heat down. Glad you had a great trip-get some rest now! :earsboy:

D,

Did you do a trip report on your stay?
