Has anyone had luck exchanging into any LONDON UK RCI property within last year or so? It seems only 3 are offered & they are NEVER availble.

So many DVC ads & commercials feature London as a destination (Big Ben is everywhere!!!) but it seems near impossible to trade-in using RCI.

Please give me some hope :worried:

Disney advertises all sorts of things to get people to spend money, they advertise 30% off for cash rooms but usually when I check, my dates are not available.

With DVC, Disney advertises all of these non-DVC resort destinations. IMO they don't want you to use your points there so they set the point price high and limit availability. People were still booking so they tacked on a $95 fee to make it even a worse deal.

There are so many places better to stay in London, they are doing you a favour ;)

I so agree! We try to visit every 2 yrs & we usually rent a flat for 2 weeks...But now that we have more time to travel (& will retire nearby WDW so won't use pts there) it would be great to be able to extend our stay a week or 2 in London using our points, regardless of the accommodation.

And I also agree they prefer us NOT to use our pts with RCI ... I am just hoping someone out there has advice about how to do it successfully in London anyway.

The only thing I can think of is to put in a specific search using the dates & resorts that will work for you. I believe your fee is refundable if you don't match. Not sure if it is refundable if you cancel the search, but you can check before committing if that matters to you.

You can make a back up plan for cash that can be cancelled on relatively short notice if you need to buy the plane tickets now.

You're probably already doing this, so I will just wish you good luck and ask for a trip report when you return. :)

impossible to trade via RCI for London except during winter. you could use DVC points for a London hotel, I believe.

I would rent your points out and use the cash to pay for a hotel room.

London is almost impossible for anyone through RCI (or II) whether DVC or otherwise. II has a property that's a member that they don't even list on the website it's so rarely available.
