London / Paris Here We Come!!! 9/2 - 9/10/11

Add me to the list of Buckingham Palace visitors I was amazed that it was that easy, I always thought that Buck Palace was an impossible ticket. I also notice that even at Buckingham Palace you exit through the gift shop...

Who's in need of a new Tiara?

Woo hoo! :cool1: Our group is growing! Look forward to meeting you Matt.:thumbsup2

You should all be warned that this is my "Stave off Jet Lag by Doing something" activity

The plane lands at 5am, I figure some breakfast, a shower, and the Queens pictures are a good way to get into the time zone lol

This trip is becoming a whole lot more real isn't it - I only have two more "work" trips" between now and then, and it feels like this one is coming up quick (maybe it's that nasty requirement to have it paid for.

So we can blame it all on the jetlag, eh? ;)

It *is* becoming more real. Although I have an entire show to get through before I go on this trip. But some stuff really should be decided on at this point because of availability. At least I have places to stay already... And I'm starting to have PLANS!

Looking forward to meeting you, too, Matt!

Yep - I figure thats an excuse that can last for daaaays!

I'm stopping off for 24 hours in Singapore on the way over, which usually makes this less painful.

Thinking of going to Universal Singapore while i'm there, that should make for a pretty full day, which makes sleeping on the plane easier, which makes Matt a better human being.

Unfortunately I cannot extend my trip prior to the start date, or I would have joined you. As it stands, I'm getting on a plane on the 1st and landing 11:15am on the 2nd. Wish me luck that I sleep on the flight! It helps that I'm taking the red eye and am able to sleep on planes. :goodvibes

All of my "on your own" time is where I can fit in the extras. Just haven't figured that part out yet!

You are so lucky you can sleep on planes. I have *never* been able to sleep on planes. I did not sleep the whole way to Barcelona, and I don't expect to sleep the whole way to England. Even though they were both red eyes. I'm expecting at least my first day to be lost to jet lag.

Just got a little bigger - Cathy and I booked the tour at 10AM on Friday, looking forward to meeting everyone!

I'm in the same boat. I won't be arriving until 10:15 on the 2nd. I wish I could join you guys but look forward to meeting you all later that day.

The good thing is, you're not *catching* a boat. ;) So you don't have to worry about missing it! I don't think the Hotel is going anywhere!

Looking forward to that Welcome Dinner!!! :cool1:

That's where the "wish me luck" part comes in. I am hoping that the adrenaline coursing through me thinking about "I'm on the plane! I'm actually going!":banana::banana: <----that. I'm hoping that won't keep me from getting some sleep.

I hope to do what I enjoy when I arrive at a new place/hotel. I love to explore the hotel. If not first thing, then very close to it. I expect that I'll be doing that unless I run into the guides or travelers I recognize. :goodvibes

When you get there we can climb to the highest spot on the Island and take a picture of me with a silly camera on my head!
(Notice the very expensive button on my lanyard!! )

Mike: I think we can find a higher spot than that this time. I don't know...some tower in France maybe?

Me three. I'll get in around 11:30 am on Friday. I've got a direct flight from Seattle so will be travel worn, but super excited to be there.

I love the idea of the Ceremony of the Keys.

I was just doing the application for the Ceremony of the Keys ticket, and note that the group size for that time of year is only 6 people. Definitely write soon, and ask for two dates. I'll request the 4th and the 3rd.

Or maybe some Eye thing in London.
I'll bring a hair brush before my next close up. :scared1:

The 3rd is our Lion King night. You don't plan on attending that?

I think that 6 may be an error, because it conflicts with stuff I read elsewhere. Guess we'll find out.

I think 6 is the maximum number of tickets you can apply for. The groups are about 30 people I think.
