There were some great prices this morning, some still there some gone. I found some for our dates at £610 which I would probably have paid this evening but back up to over £700 again now. I will keep checking. Thanks for posting.:thumbsup2

What are your dates for £610? We go 22nd July and got flights for £420. Looking for flights for family now. They would pay £610.

I must confess - I saw 20th Aug to 3rd Sep LGW DUB MCO about 548 each (considering gatwick is a 45 minute easy drive - this does appeal)

Ironically it is over £1000 more if you jus booked Dublin - MCO!

I am tempted - but we want to fly on 18th or 19th - and whilst cheaper we would lose a couple of days off our desired holiday- decisions decisions!!

I am looking for 1st-25th Aug, fly out to Orlando but then back from Boston.

I am starting to really worry about the flight prices now. Whilst relieved I booked when I did, I just can't believe how expensive Virgin and BA are. Would be over £4500 economy miles and money for 2 adults and 2 children. Thats madness. Even indirect now nearly £800. I don't think my family will be able to pay that much and I feel bad for giving impression they would be a whole lot cheaper.
Last year I paid £2500 for 3 of us PE both ways on Virgin in school holidays and I thought that was expensive.

Flight prices right now for this year are insane!!
I've told many people how Disney in Florida us so doable compared to a few days in Paris yet right now I can't even get flight prices for what an entire stay at Paris would cost!!

We went with Virgin on the 8th of October for 3 wks last yr and paid £460 each and was pretty happy if be gutted to pay any more then that at any time!

No wonder certain airlines are going bust the prices are stupid right now, I hope something comes up for your family, nothing worse then having the trip all worked out, then flights are not do able :(

Not sure what dates you are looking at but where are you doing your flight price checks? I can't book until some dates are confirmed but also keeping a close watch on October and last night found some with United for £471 which is good enough that I was tempted to just book.

I've been looking at August for a friend " sadly not for us until I have some idea where I'm going to be living lol"
As you know October is when we love to go and at the price you just quoted I'd jump at it too if our house sells in the next few months or my health insurance comes through ( that's like pulling teeth) then I will be going some point this yr!
I look on kayak and flight scanner,

I'm waiting on prices for next may to come out as where ever we are living we could just get accomadation ticket and DDP booked and get flights later,at least I can move the trip if I book with Disney direct!

Oh what I wouldn't give to take advantage of those prices, but DH would kill me :headache:

I read on a website some time ago that booking the flights too much in advance is not the best strategy. For internal flight in the USA airlines start publishing new offers around 4 months before travel date and at that point they have some price war.
For international travel it's more difficult to predict, but they suggested to wait until around 5 months before travel time.
I followed this suggestion and got a good price from Rome to Orlando (I was still living in Italy at that time). It was 720€ 7-8 months in advance, but got it at 480€ 4 months before leaving.

Reading on this boards other posts about flight booking strategy, I've seen that many book as early as possible. Is the situation from London different, so that suggestion is not valid?

I'll be in Orlando next September and looking at flight prices... they are crazy high at the moment :(
I was planning to wait for a better offer, should I consider to book instead?

I don't believe there is any pattern to best time to book. Many people prefer to book as soon as possible to know they are booked, they can then plan they trips knowing the flights are done but its rarely the cheapest time to book.
I am now looking for this August, just now they are at about their highest price, they were far cheaper last year but I couldn't book. I hope they drop nearer.

Some economy prices with Virgin are unbelievable, I tried searching your dates in August with M+M and it would cost £1,066 in economy but if you flew out in premium and back in economy it would only cost £27 more at £1,093 and premium both ways was only £134 more at £1,200, doesn't make sense.
