.. not for us, this time, but for my parents who (bless them!) want to take my teenage kids to the capital for a few days in August.

They want somewhere central, close to a tube station on one of the main lines, in a pleasant area so they can come and go at night without stress.

Clean and tidy rather than grand and well-equipped.. your personal recommendations would be appreciated folks.

Thanks,

Mike:)

We stayed at the Travelodge at Covent Garden - you know exactly what to expect with these and it was very central :)

I always think that the best deals are on lastminute.com. I have found some really great hotel deals for friends. I recently booked two friends into the Waldorf for £150/night in a junior suite. Search by star rating, you'll be surprised at what you can get for your money.

Have a brilliant time.

Hi, We've just spent the weekend in London at Jury's in Great Russell Street. Great central location, decent size hotel room and friendly staff they also allowed us to leave our luggage and collect it later on. I will definitely be staying there again.

It is easy to reach from Euston, take the tube to Tottenham Court Road Station and from there it is a two minute walk. The British Museum is a stones throw further down the road, and Trafalgar Sq, Covent Garden etc all within walking distance :)

We stayed in the Novotel Euston, it was a lovely hotel, very modern which the kids will certainly like. It was close to the main King's Cross, Euston and St Pancreas stations and their related tube stations. I would stay there again.
