LOL!! I guess it qualifies as a weapon?

Hope it's insured!!

(How long before we see some dimwit swipe it and try to sell it on eBay?)

LOL that's sad but funny. Guess if his seatmate liked the Gators more he'd poke their eye out with it.

Did you know that when the army deploys, they use commercial airlines and carry on their big guns and stuff but can't carry on their razors or lighters  Makes sense to someone I guess, lol

That's just too funny. I guess if we tried to make sense of everything we'd all go crazy.

When dealing with Government regulations try the following: Try to make Crazy out of it and you might do Senseable. :rotfl2: :rotfl:

And the videos of Army personell getting on planes looking through their pockets while trying to find a plae to put their M16s is very funny. "Sorry sir, you might take over the plane with that nail clipper, you can't carry it. And Sir, your M16 just knocked over my paperwork, could you strap it to your back before boarding" :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:  popcorn:: :dance3:

Don't even say such a thing, you'll jinx it! :rotfl2:

I saw that too. :confused3 We can take on laptops and video cameras which are certainly heavy enought to knock someone's lights out, but they'll take plastic safety scissors that you'd give a three year old.

I'm confused - the article I read says he chose to ship it instead of risking damage to it... was there another article about it being considered a weapon or not being allowed on the plane?

This article said that restrictions forbade him from taking it on the plane. The reason why Smith didn't mind was because last time an OSU player brought his on the plane, it was damaged. So it was the rule of the first and the idea of the 2nd that made him ship it.

Eddie George, the last Buckeye to win the Heisman in 1995, had his trophy get stuck in an airport X-ray machine, losing the tip of its right index finger and bending the middle finger.

Oh mayun...I would've been sooooooooooooooooooooooo :furious:

My husband was really upset that he had to ship it....I mean it's the HEISMAN TROPHY for goodness sakes...Yes, Troy Smith excelled in football, won the Heisman all for the sole reason of hijacking the plane!!
