Logistical question

If I were to buy a small point contract to start I know that I can always add on. Here are my questions for add on's down the road:

1.) Is it suggested to keep use year the same for simplicity of keeping track of points.

2.) If I have four small contracts at 4 differnt resorts, does that mean I can use all of my points at any of those resorts with the 11 month booking window(basically do I have 4 home resorts?)

3.) How hard is it usually to stay at wilderness lodge in August at only the 7 month booking window?

generally, yes.

nope. you have 4 home resorts but only to the extent that you own pts at each. you can only mingle the pts from the different resorts at the 7 month window.

if you own 2000 SSR pts and 25 BLT pts, then you have 2 home resorts. you have the 11 month window at SSR for the 2000 pts from the SSR contract and the 11 month window at BLT for 25 pts. but you can't cheat the other BLT owners by using SSR pts to book BLT at 11 months out.

3.) How hard is it usually to stay at wilderness lodge in August at only the 7 month booking window?

not sure. i would guess you'd get it most of the time as august is not a peak DVC period - but VWL is pretty small.

I was able to get VWL in August without issue--and I was booking it in April. It was only a studio though.

Getting your desired resort and room size can be a crap shoot. Your chances can be improved buy booking as early as possible when your window opens. As additional members are added to the DVC, booking has become more difficult and it will only get worse.

Buy where you love to stay is the only option that will give you a 99% success rate.
