We are doing a Disney 3 night land/4 night sea trip in November. We are thinking of flying in a day early so we aren't wasting the first day traveling. I am looking for a place to stay for one night. Any suggestions for a moderately priced place for a family of 5? Preferably near Disney.

Also if we do decide to do that, will we be able to go to our resort (Beach Club) that next morning and at least drop off our luggage and head to the parks ASAP?

Try hotelkingdom.com to find some where to stay. I've used that site 3x's and have been happy each time. It lists many hotels in the area with the price (usually big discounts) and you can book online. Lots in DD area, by the airport, Universal.......check it out!

When I'm looking for a cheap room overnight, I always use Priceline. Generally, you can get MCO area rooms for about $30. Buena Vista/Disney area about the same. Check out www.biddingfortravel.com. Technically Priceline rooms are for 4 adults, but I have a friend who does it with 3 kids all the time. Since most places are "kids stay free with parents" it really doesn't change things. Do call the hotel ahead and make sure you have 2 beds rather than one king.

You can drop your luggage at Beach Club any time. They will do a preliminary check in, but not assign a room. They will then deliver your luggage to your room when one is assigned and it will be waiting for you when you return from the parks.
