Hello fellow DISers, I'm flying in 7 days and need a fast answer. I was just taking to a friend of mine a he just told me that I can't use a lock on my checked luggage. I'm flying on US AIRWAYS. I suppose I could just call them but figured I'd ask on here first. Thanks ºOº

An expensive suitcase, or a suitcase with a lock, might suggest the luggage contains items worth stealing.

I've used my TSA lock many times and haven't had a problem. I don't use it for security but to keep the zipper from opening and stuff falling out.

Does that include those 3 digit combination locks? (TSA approved??)ºOº

Not sure on the locks, but last year, flying SW ours was searched, as there was a LOVELY note inside saying they looked.

I have seen people use those plastic tie locks not really sure of thr name, but you put one piece thru the other and pull to tighten. Then they have to be cut off, so if they DO pull your luggage the "lock" would no be replaced.

Personally, I lock NOTHING and am THRILLED they check!! :wizard:
