We will be coming from Sanford airport next month with an arrival at 8AM and were hoping to head straight to Epcot in our Uber.
We are 2 adults traveling for a weekend trip with very little luggage-potentially one carry on split between us and then our backpacks.
Are there lockers at Epcot that can fit a small carryon bag?
I just anticipate the time it will take to go to Coronado—not have our room ready which is to be expected—and then get a bus or Uber over to Epcot instead of one straight shot would be another hour of transportation

You will not be allowed to enter the park with luggage so will need to go to your resort first.

Found in MDE under property Rules. Prohibited items include:

This was on the plan Disney website a year ago in response to this very question - .

I’m happy to tell you that EPCOT offers jumbo lockers available to rent. These jumbo-sized lockers are 17” x22” x26” and are available only at Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT for a fee. You can also store your luggage at the Stroller Rental location if need be.

Another website says they are outside the main entrance behind the bus information booth. Not sure of the date of that post or what type of payment they require.

Those lockers outside the park are not there anymore and you can't bring a suitcase into the park. There used to be lockers outside of DHS, Epcot and at the TTC before you got into the park but those are all gone. They did away with that for security reasons a few years ago.

If I were you, I'd just uber to CSR and drop your luggage at bell services and uber on to Epcot.

FYI- here's the size restriction on carry ons to get into the parks, I suppose there may be smaller carryons than this but you'd have to check your bag size to ensure you can get into the park.
  • Suitcases, bags, coolers or backpacks, with or without wheels, larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high (61 cm x 38 cm x 46 cm) are not allowed in any theme park or water park.

Ok, well, leave it to Disney to have wrong information on their website. The post I quoted was from June 2021.

Just an FYI for everyone, the lockers that were located by the bus info booth were removed a while back.

But they do have the lockers by spaceship earth and international gateway, right? Maybe we can rearrange our stuff so it won’t be a roller suitcase and more of tote bags. The “jumbo” locker online looked good..

Definitely.

The standard limit for an airline carry-on bag is 22" x 14" x 9", which appears to be within the maximum dimensions folks were quoting above.

How were you going to get your luggage from Epcot to the Coronado? You not allowed to take luggage onto the resort buses, boats, etc.. So you could be looking at the cost of a 2nd Uber.

It would seem far less hassle overall to Uber to Coroando, go right to Bell Services and check your luggage, then hop on the park bus, even if it takes 30-60 minutes more. Some of that is offset by the time would take to deal with the luggage and lockers at the park and on the bus, and the possibility of being turned away.

Another option is to Uber to the Boardwalk hotel and leave luggage with bell services and then head to the International Gateway. You would still have to backtrack a bit and the easiest way back to Coronado would be Uber but it would get you into the parks quicker if that is your main goal. While I know you don't want to head to your resort, you may just want to have your Uber bring you to your hotel and have someone drop bags at bell services and just have the Uber wait for you and then hop to the park.

This is what I was going to suggest. Uber to BC, it's the closest resort to Epcot.

Except you have to be a Y&BC guest or have an ADR to arrive at the Y&BC by rideshare. They've gotten stricter on that. It's a YMMV situation but the guard tower could turn them away.

I went through MK with a large backpack, like a backpacking backpacking, and all my stuff before I left for a plane.

I guess you can Uber to Swan & Dolphin.

I think they are more strict at MK resorts with people in their own car. Secondly, I don't think they can turn you away. It can discouraged. Just say you are there meeting someone. Boardwalk is also a conference hotel with convention parking. Lots of people attend a conference without staying at the hotel.

They can and do turn rideshares away. Y&BC, BWI, and the monorail resorts definitely turn rideshares around at the guard tower, even for people with mobile orders, there are plenty stories right here on the Dis to prove it.

Yes, S&D do allow rideshares.

Still, this is all a lot of excessive planning just to avoid using what Disney provides, bell services and bus transportation at the OP's own resort. Why? To have another 30 minutes in the park? I'm sure there are ways to jump through hoops and do this but, while this is fine for academic discussion, it's just silly in real life.

So get out of the car at the gate and walk 90 seconds across the parking lot. It's not like the BC parking lot is very big and you don't car if the car makes it through.

There is a gas station across the street from Boardwalk that could be your drop off point.

Unless you are really traveling light, I would rideshare to CS, check bags at Bell Services, and hop on the bus to Epcot like others have suggested. I've done this many a time and it's smooth and easy. Sometimes I have my "park bag" ready to pull out of the backpack before I ever leave home and I hit Bell Services and jump on a bus; other times I've spent a few minutes in the lobby moving stuff around, changing clothes in the restroom, and then leaving the bigger backpack that wouldn't really fit in a park locker at Bell Services. (It was SWEET when using DME and they would then deliver my carry-on to my room later in the day, but that's gone now)

Now - if you are traveling REALLY light - yes - you could head straight to EP and put your bags in the lockers in the park. I don't know if EP has "large" vs. "small" lockers anymore as its been so long since I have used lockers there, but the small lockers are SMALL. I could do this myself if I was staying one night, MAYBE two nights in the summer (smaller clothes!). I'd also be weighing the cost of a locker (or two in your case) and the likelihood of having them pull me aside to screen my bag at the bag entrance vs. the cost of my time to ride the bus from the resort.
