I was read something about not being able to take bags on the rides at Universal. Are their lockers available at each ride? If so how much do they cost, and how secure are they?

The rides that require you to use a locker are free for a certain time while you ride and when you run over that then they charge you and others on here can tell you what rides and the cost.
Hope this helps :thumbsup2

It helps a lot! :goodvibes My bag is so easy to get around the parks, (I'm not sure how wise it is to take a Disney bag to Universal though, LOL,) that I never use lockers. Is it safe to assume that the rides that don't allow bags all have lockers?

Yeah the rides that don't allow bags will have lockers and like I said I don't know all of them but I know is MIB, the mummy, the hulk, Dueling Dragons and sure some I am not thinking about :thumbsup2

On the park map, the rides that have a little red key required lockers. From what I remember it includes...men in black, mummy and hulk. The lockers aren't very big....they fit one regular sized back pack. You can use more than one. You get enough time to ride the ride and then you have to pay. They may adjust the locker times to coordinate with wait times.....the first day we were there you got 55 minutes free, but on Thurs it was only 35 minutes.

the TM's that work the rides and handle the locker area, are well aware of the time frames for the lockers.

if a ride stops or there is a delay, they will adjust the time period for those coming off the ride that have gone over the allotted time period.

if you have a problem with your locker not opening (free), contact the TM for that area and they will unlock it for you.

they are very helpful employees.

I seem to recall that the lockers at Universal don't have keys. They scan your fingerprint, and that's how you get back in. So if your friend is the one whose fingerprint is scanned to get the locker, you can't say, "Oh, I'll get our stuff out of the locker and meet you in the restaurant." The person who got the locker has to be the person who goes back to retrieve stuff from the locker.

Anyone who has been there more recently, correct me if I'm wrong.

You are correct...it's all in the finger print.

The rides that require the use of a locker are:
Mummy
MIB
Hulk
Dragons

The lockers are free while you ride.

The lockers are 8wx13hx16d

Some use fingerprint, actually biometric scan, while other use a guest generated pin number (use your birthday)

Each locker is one time use and if you go over free window you do have to pay the $3/hour rate with a $20/day max

There are multi time use locker located at front of each park, they are (I think) $10/day

There are also locker located outside of some of the water rides that are NOT required but are there for your convience. You do have to pay for these lockers, same rate of $3/hour with a $20/day max.

One time use per person per day? Say I want to ride the same ride more then once a day, which is likely. Would I not be able to use a locker for free again?

You are correct krusty on the size, but the price in April Was alittlle cheaper..
