Our friends are headed for a visit with the mouse and I'm trying to fill them in on the free dining plan - they had never heard of it - but they are locked into a AAA package. Is there any way they can avail themselves of this fabulous opportunity of free food. Their dates are August 23 through August 26, and then they're headed for the Disney cruise.

I just noticed that my siggy was very very old and have now updated (I'm sure you were all concerned. :rolleyes1)

If your friend booked a land/sea cruise package than they're out of luck. In order to get the free dining plan, they would need to book the land portion of their stay separately and have their TA book it with the free dining package.

We went the last 4 times on the ddp thru AAA and 3 with free dining, with the free dining you won't get the AAA room discount, but the free dining way outweights the AAA room discount. Tell them to call AAA and add free dining.

Not always. We stay in the DVC resorts and deluxe resorts and my AAA discount for them has been worth more than free dining. Last year my DVC AAA discount was 40% off .

Yep your right, we have been staying at POP when on free dining so the dining is a much better choice with the least expensive resorts, as for the moderates maybe that is only break even or only a little better, I'm not sure.

I think when you are looking at the Mods, the number of people in your party might come into play on figuring which is the better deal. Like if you have 4 adults in the room, but only a 20% AAA, free dining may work better

One of these days we got to get back to Riverside, but there will only be 2 of us then so I will have to check each way which would be the best deal. One of the other reasons we go thru AAA is the parking pass we have been driving the rental car the last 2 years to the parks, resorts and DTD. Seems to work out better except going to the MK.
