Lock haven university, pa?

Hi, we just had a tour on Friday at lhu and my dd loved it. Has anyone here on the disboards ever attended or is currently attending? Love to hear the good/bad about lhu.

My best friend's now-ex went there for three years, then transferred to here Penn State to finish his degree to have the "Penn State name". A girl from my French class went there and hated how small it was, transferred to culinary school (which makes me think she was in the wrong school to begin with).

Two kids from my high school went there and are in a fraternity/sorority, respectively, and seem to like it (we were class of '08).

I think it would depend on what kind of town you are from (a strong transition from a more rural area can be tougher), and what your daughter wants to do. Has she picked a major?

I'm right up the road in Happy Valley , if she wants to come look here the tour is pretty good and I'd be happy to help any way I can.

Good luck... college is a big decision and I tried to look at as many as I could!

Lock Haven is great if you are looking for a smaller school! I had several friends who went there after high school and I can't think of one that didn't like it!

They have a ton of undergrad programs to choose from which is great! Have you looked at their parents tab on the website at all?

Thanks for the info...we did look at some of the ny suny colleges/universities and they did nothing for her. However lhu had the majors she is looking for (accounting). and it is a small university which she loved very much...
