At BWV, a single-story GV is a non-guaranteed request. All the GVs are over the boardwalk above the general store, none are "near" the elevators to the lobby area, but none are too far away. At Jambo, two are not actually very far from the lobby but the other four are closer to the end of the wings.
Both Jambo and BWV GVs are very difficult to get at 7 months out during the high demand season form late Sep to marathon weekend in Jan. Jambo GV's are usually booked full about 50% of the time by 7-months out during the rest of the year, while BWV GV's are usually booked full about 65% of the time. Best chances to get one at either resort at 7-months out are in the lowest
DVC demand times of the year: Feb 1 to the Thurs before Presidents Day, the Monday after the Princess race weekend though first week of March, the last week of April, and July 7 to 31.
VGF GVs are usually difficult to get at 7-months out in the high demand season, but often open throughout the rest of the year at 7-months out.
The above is based on "normal" times. During the covid times, there have been significant variances, including that the relevant GVs have opened up at times well within the 7-month window due to cancellations.
