Location of 3 bedroom villas at Boardwalk

We are looking at booking a 3 bedroom villa and trying to decide between Animal Kingdom Jambo House and Boardwalk due to needing a 1 level room. I like the layout of the AK room, however, the 3 bedroom rooms are located far from the lobby and the resort is located further from the parks than Boardwalk. Does anyone know where the 3 bedroom villas are located at the Boardwalk? They are all Boardwalk view so I am assuming they are probably near the top across the resort facing the Boardwalk, but was not sure if they were in a specific area of the resort or not.

Yes, they are all BW view, as you described. But know this, only 5 are 1 floor, 2 are 2 floor like OKW/Kidani/SSR... Not sure you can book a 1 floor unit, like any other request, it's only a request.

Note that there are 7 Grand Villas and two of them are two-story units. None are all that far from the elevators.

And BWV is very hard to get at 7 months. That´s one resort we have never been able to get into for GV.

At BWV, a single-story GV is a non-guaranteed request. All the GVs are over the boardwalk above the general store, none are "near" the elevators to the lobby area, but none are too far away. At Jambo, two are not actually very far from the lobby but the other four are closer to the end of the wings.

Both Jambo and BWV GVs are very difficult to get at 7 months out during the high demand season form late Sep to marathon weekend in Jan. Jambo GV's are usually booked full about 50% of the time by 7-months out during the rest of the year, while BWV GV's are usually booked full about 65% of the time. Best chances to get one at either resort at 7-months out are in the lowest DVC demand times of the year: Feb 1 to the Thurs before Presidents Day, the Monday after the Princess race weekend though first week of March, the last week of April, and July 7 to 31.

VGF GVs are usually difficult to get at 7-months out in the high demand season, but often open throughout the rest of the year at 7-months out.

The above is based on "normal" times. During the covid times, there have been significant variances, including that the relevant GVs have opened up at times well within the 7-month window due to cancellations.

I have not tried for the VGF since the points are so high. We have gotten Jambo, OKW, and our home resort, SSR. OKW is our go to GV, you can´t beat the space and points. We really enjoyed Jambo with the pool table.

I have points at BLT, so will try this one first. But trying different resort sounds fun. We always paid or rented BCV or BWV. So I am really looking forward to the next vacation... and I find it so looooonnng.

Thank you for the information on the 3 bedroom being 2 story in some cases at Boardwalk. We own Boardwalk so I can book it now. AK is showing available at this time. I will have to see when I actually book. I will go ahead and book Boardwalk to have it and if we change our mind once I can book, I may switch to Animal Kingdom. I love Boardwalk’s location but the extra bathroom is nice at Animal Kingdom.
