Has anyone ever had it? We are going there for lunch next week, and I was looking at the menu. I am thinking about ordering that- it says it comes on a toasted baguette with lobster soup and mixed greens. Wondering if it is worth a dining credit. Is it good? Anyone have a pic? Thanks guys!

I have seen so many people ask about this salad, but never a picture. So.... when I ordered it this past Wednesday (9/19) I took a picture! Give me a little time to download it and I will share! It was great. Loaded with Lobster meat and I loved having the lobster soup as part of my entree, so I could have another option for appetizer. I had the beef and shrimp skewers for my app. By the way, we were there for lunch and our waitress said the lunch menu was new as of Sunday 9/16.

Thanks so much, Giggle! I can't wait to try Coral Reef! Did you have a good experience there? We are having the diver for our DD's 10th birthday, so we are really excited about this meal! I'll look for your picture soon! Thanks again!

and while I thought it was pretty good, it was more of a shredded lobster (made like a tuna salad) with celery, mayo etc. Not what I expected. I got this because I wanted to try the lobster soup. When it came I was SHOCKED, as there must have been at the most 2 Tablespoons of soup in this very small bowl. I'm not kidding either! The soup was great, but not enough for a mouse. My DD14 did not enjoy either. OT - She was not that hungry and the CM said we should have asked her for something else. If she had come back to our table to check on us, we may have, but we never saw her after she dropped the food until we got the bill. She completely forgot the dessert we had ordered. I probably would order something else if I had to do it over again.

My DH ordered the lobster salad on our last trip to Coral Reef and he did not care for it either. It's like tuna salad, mixed with mayo. The taste was OK, just the portion size was very small especially for a man. A very light eater would probably enjoy it.

This sounds yummy. I need to check and see what other menu changes they've made.

I just had the lobster salad for lunch this past Tuesday at the Coral Reef. :)
It was good but not what I expected. :confused3 I would definately eat there again as the atmosphere was fanatastic. But I honestly wouldn't order that again. I am from New England and love my lobster as is...The lobster sort of got lost in the mixture of mayo, celery and onion..there were also some serious spices in there. The lobster tasted fresh but it really didn't stand out enough for me. The lobster soup was very rich but the serving size was really small. The portion size was perfect for me but for someone with a big appetite it may not fill you up. HTH! :goodvibes

I had it in August and you described it perfectly. Of course I would've said more like a chicken salad. I agree, it tasted fine, but is for a light meal. My SIL was going to order it but the CM suggested it would not be a hearty enough meal for him. I remember one small scoop of salad on a bed of lettuce and a small baguet cut in half and toasted. The soup was a tiny cup, about 3 ounces. The server did warn me that the meal was not very big and the soup was tiny. It tasted good, but I probably wouldn't get it again.

I'm finally back to share the picture. By the way I am a petite female, this entree along with the land and sea appetizer and the chocolate wave dessert was plenty of food for me.

Thanks everyone. It looks good, but I love to eat, and this probably won't fill me up. Plus, I am very excited to try the Lobster Soup, and that is not enough for me to enjoy! OK so now the question.....what am I going to order? For a seafood restaurant, it doesn't seem like they have many seafood options.....No crabcakes!? Any suggestions?

in that picture, the cup of soup looks like the little cup you get with melted butter when you get a lobster...

but the lobster salad itself looks pretty generous!

The lobster soup was bigger than it looks, but probably no more than 10 spoonfuls. We had the funny good luck of getting an extra bowl of soup. My husband ordered the lobster soup for his appetizer. When his soup came he liked it and ate the whole thing but said it didn't taste like lobster to him. Just before our entrees were served the waitress came back and said DH had been brought the mushroom soup by mistake, so she brought him a second bowl of soup this time the correct lobster soup. My husband loves mushrooms, so that is why he didn't complain. I had a few spoonfuls out of his second bowl.

Remember the lobster salad is on the lunch menu. If you are planning on touring Epcot more in the afternoon, you might not want anything heavier to eat. This was a perfect light lunch in the middle of a hot Epcot day.

I had the mahi mahi last year at CR and LOVED it...it was by far the best meal I had at Disney!
