Lobster anywhere?

Pardon me, being the WDW newbie that I am...but...

Is that 2# Lobster at Narcoosee's included on the DDP?
Which restaurants can I go to and eat Lobster AND have it covered by the DDP? Thanks

Yes, the 2 pound lobster is included on the DDP - 2 credits.

You can also get steak & lobster or twin lobster tails at Cap'n Jack's - 1 credit.

I have read a lot of good things about Cap'n Jack's - great view, great atmosphere, great location overlooking lagoon; so we are trying it out next month! I refuse to use 2 credits anywhere.

I had lobster tails at capt jacks and my DH had steak with lobster tail. The lobster was pretty good.

My DH and I used the DDP in May and ate at Cap n Jacks twice. Both times we ordered the twin lobster tails! We loved it!!! :sunny: I agree with the posts about coral reef I have res. for our Sept trip only for the view!

We ate at Narcoosee's last Monday evening and we each had the whole Maine lobster. It was wonderful -- flavorful, tender and, without weighing it, about 2 pounds. We liked it so much, we went back Friday and had lobsters again. This time, they seemed to be getting to the end of their weekly supply or something. The lobsters were tough and not anywhere near 2 pounds. We mentioned to our waitress that these lobsters were clearly not 2 pounds and were rather tough. She could not have cared less. She looked at us like -- it's free -- why should you have any right to complain and treated us with complete disdain thereafter.

So, Narcoosee's for lobster is a crap shoot. We aren't going back during free dining. We'll try it this fall after free dining has ended and we're not on the DDP.

How did she know you were on the free plan? Does it say that on your card? Plenty of people through August and September are paying for the dining plan, do they make some sort of distinction between the two? :confused3

You're correct. Servers have no idea whether you're getting the Dining Plan for free, or paying for it.

This thread has been wonderful. Thank you all. Due to the above picture I have made ADR at Narcoosee's for our arrival first day vacation dinner. party: party: That lobster looks fantastic.

I may have just gotten lucky but, I had surf and turf ( Filet Mignon and an 8 oz. tail) on the DDP @ Le cellar in canada. If i recall correctly, it may have been a special for the day. This year I am planning on Capt. jacks. twin tails!

We were at Narcoosee's last week too, on the dining plan, not free, we were paying for it. I had the Maine lobster and it was large and great! DH and DS's had the surf and turf and loved it.

It is at the Grand Floridian, it is on the water. From the pictures it looks very nice. When are you going in November? We will be there too! :cool1:

We wnt to Nacosses, not on the DDP, the service we got was applling and the food was bad, the waiter did not care is the slightest. I think it is very hit an miss, this waiter was a clear snob and it wa snot becuise we were on the dining plan, in adidtion to this were were alsoi well dressed and are well spoken, so not sure what it was about really.

to angel16, thanks for your reply. we will be at wdw oct 28,2006 thru nov 4,2006. i plan to make res. for narcoosees, must try that lobster. everyone says "you better make your favorite rest. res. now" so i plan to res narcoosees, boma, (breakfast or lunch, i don't know, we love both) the fine dinning in italy(can't remember the name, but the food is very rememerable), and leceller. we are booked for dinner at the castle on halloween night in order to be there for the party.

sounds like a lot of food doesn't it. i will really need the diet when i get home.

i can't wait, maybe we will run across you there. :wave2: pirate:

Stick with Narcoosees. Avoid Captain Jacks. It is a cesspool for a restaurant!

Why? Reason I am asking is because I have never been there and have an ADR for it in 2007. Now I may have to reconsider.

They have had several favorable reviews lately, I also won't spend 2 credits... but I still want lobster so I guess I have to hope it will be good. ;)

Don't plan on it, get on the phone and do it right now! :bounce: Those are all pretty popular, and you're less than 60 days out. Other people were booking those places months ago, you don't want to lose out, do you?

Is the Lobster tail add on included in the DDP @ YSH?

On the menu it shows as an add on but is it included in the DDP?

For 2 TS, you'd hope so anyway huh? :confused3
