Last may we bought the DDP. Even made ADRs for Coral Reef. Can you believe the fancy seafood restaurant didn't have lobster. Does anyone know if any place under the DDP will give you lobster tails? I've heard conflicting views on Cap'n Jacks. We're going back for free dining next month and if it's there, anywhere, I want it.

Captain Jack's has the twin tails on DDP. A friend of mine had it last week and said it was very good.

Some of the signature restaurants also sometimes have lobster on the menu. Beyond that, I believe there aren't any other "lobster included" opportunites.

They USED to have lobster, I had it twice and it was excellent. :( They've toned down their selections a LOT over the years, so much so that when we read the menu this time around we dropped our ADR's from three to one. First time I ever ate there I had a massive cajun seafood sampler platter that not only had some lobster and crawfish creole thing, it even had alligator sausage.

Now . . . oooh, scallops and crap cakes. *spins finger in the air* I just hope the steak is as good as it was in the surf and turf last time. :furious:

Fidge, how big was the lobster at Narcoossee? In another thread, it said the lobster was 9 oz. Then someone else said 2 lbs. :confused3 Just wondering, but whatever the size is, that's what I'm getting! :thumbsup2

Just to let you all know - we were at Coral Reef and along with no lobster entrees, there are no shrimp or scallops either. I was very dissappointed. The only seafood besides some fish was the crabcake and mine was very bready and overcooked. The lobster bisque is good and there is a shrimp cocktail that was good but that's it. There is a veggie medley, mahi mahi, tuna, codfish, steak, chicken, and crabcake. That was it. The desserts were incredible though and the views were great. I just expected more seafood selection (even a shrimp smampi) heck even more of a selection overall and was very surprised. DH did rave about his tuna though and said it was the best he ever had.

They also offered it as an add-on with the steak dinner only. My kids were thrilled, they both had the twin lobster tails and DH and I had the steak and lobster dinner!

Never been to any of these but glancing at their menus, Fultons, Blue Zoo, Shulas and Narcooses all have lobster on their menus.

My DH had the whole lobster last year with free dp. He very much enjoyed this. I think it was 2lbs. it was huge and about $60. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I'm thinking the person who said 9 oz was thinking of the lobster tail? I've never heard of a 9 oz lobster, to be legal here in NY they have to weigh at least 1 1/4 lbs. I'm the one who said it was 2 lbs, it was yummy and plenty filling.

Hopefully this will work!

We get the whole Maine lobster at Narcoose's every time we go to Disney and it weighs 2 pounds. It is delicious - and they cut the entire thing and serve it so that all you do is pull the meat from it.

:cloud9: Oh, my goodness--that looks SOOOOO yummy! I just have to wait 3 more weeks...3 LONG weeks... :hourglass
Thanks so much for all the info and pictures. :thanks:

My DH and I also enjoyed the 2 lb. lobster at Narcoosee's! It was our favorite meal of the trip!! Two thumbs up :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

At Narcoosees, can you request that they do not prep the lobster for you, or is it one way of serving only? I know some restaurants insist on breaking it down because they use smaller meat bits for their lobster stock.

I absolutely love Narcoosee's!!!! I usually get the Surf N Turf, which is very good! I never ordered the 2 lb Lobster, but I am now thinking about it when we go back in Feb. For those of you who have had both the Surf N Turf and the Whole Lobster, which do you prefer?

I have had both and perfer the whole lobster, but DD12 perferred the surf and turf! I had already had the filet at both California grill and Wolfgang Pucks so that swayed my decision a bit! (Both were very good BYW!)

Last year my husband got steak & lobster at LeCellier. Adding a lobster to a regular menu item was an OOP upcharge not covered by the DDP, but the S&L 'special' was covered. He seemed to enjoy it quite a bit!

Last year I had a lobster tail at LeCellier. Not that great.

I also hit Boston Lobster Fest or whatever it's called. I will go there again-the lobster was pretty good.
