LL Premier Pass is here!

Right along the lines of Universal Express Pass - I believe the general Express Pass gives you one express entrance per attraction.

Makes me wonder if Disney ends up following the Universal model and including an unlimited Premier Pass if you book Deluxe...or a certain level of Deluxe resort. Bundle it up with a high-level room rate....
The one ride per day EP at Universal ranges from $89.99 to $289.99. At $129 to $429, Disney is significantly higher. 43% on the low end and 48% on the high end. Plus Universal has other options to obtain EP.

I've never had an issue getting ALL of my passes (sans Jungle Cruise but who cares? :) ) so I'll save the $1000-$1500 up charge.
Just something to keep in mind though... This almost certainly will result in more people using LL overall. At this price point you would think it wouldn't be many, but Disney did not launch this with the intent of selling a couple dozen a day. They will make it work.

And if more people are using LL's overall, that means either longer wait times in the LL's (probably unacceptable given the price tag for premier), or other adjustments will be made to the "standard" multi pass. Things like fewer sold (Disney won't like that) or fewer passes available during the day. They could also add LL to even more attractions that don't need it, just to they can increase the number of passes available.

I don't pretend to know exactly what the impact will be, but there will be an impact.

I think we all know LLMP will probably go up by at least $10, so even if we don’t purchase this new option, this does impact our Dec vacation immensely.

They need to raise it more than $10. Make the LLMP $60 and we are talking. For this to work they need less people using it.

Sure since Genie+ hit $39 last December during Christmas week. Also again for part of March / April for Spring break and Easter. This was going to happen even without LLPP appearing on the scene.

Well since so many people here actually seem to love this idea, why wouldn’t Disney just drop the cheaper version and make the Premier pass the only one you can buy? Once the scales of profitability tip in favor of the more expensive version there is no looking back. Fewer people buy it but it makes them more money. That’s been there entire model for years, but they still can’t price people out fast enough. You tip the scales to premier for really fast entry or you are in standby. If this does well, why wouldn’t they go with that?

I’ve heard of many people here who pay for VIP tours, not because they don’t know their way around, but for ride access. Is this so different? If anything, this is a bargain for those types. Maybe not everyone wants to be shadowed by a guide all day, and especially if they have to pay such a premium.

Because they want to make the most money. They aren’t stupid. They know there isn’t enough demand to make the system function under just LLPP. LLs have such large capacity there is no need to eliminate the middle class version of LL that has brought them so much dough.

And the $39 was a bit eye opening. If I recall right it sold out the first day it hit $39 over Xmas/NYE but not subsequent days? As if Disney had finally found a bit of a price wall on the offering. They have so far been proceeding cautiously on LLs keeping it darn near close last years rates…

No, they make bank on DVC members- if they didn't they wouldn't keep expanding DVC at WDW. Also, if they didn't want DVC to join in they'd simply exclude them from the preliminary launch. Instead "Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts" are specifically noted as qualifying.

This perk can now be used as a selling point for buying DVC- and people with the money to spend on Deluxe hotels + LLPP are a definitely a target audience for DVC.
So you think they will make it resale vs. direct benefit?

Lol, I looked up "begrudes" before realizing it was a misspelling of "begrudges".

Disney makes a lot of money off DVC members (a whole lot), which is why they keep trying to sell more and more of it.
My phone should have corrected that. Stupid phone!😁

No. Anyone staying at a dvc can purchase it no matter how they got there*. But, it’s another general selling point they can use for the initial hook for now as only deluxe have access. If resale is brought up they just pivot to the current playbook.

*ETA- right? Correct me if I’m wrong but I haven’t seen any restrictions against select DVC people buying LLPP

And only available on direct contracts and not re-sell. Disney keeps making re-sell less attractive on purpose (note: grandfathered in on most of these myself).
Re-sell has the option when sales first start here soon, right? Or not? I only see this to be of value in just one park, MK. I bet others will feel the same.

Others have also mentioned value for DHS.

We haven’t seen anyone speak up with a case for EP or AK- maybe day of for EP depending on how much one has imbibed around the world? 😝 I have seen people buy LLMP in the middle of the day at EP while standing in a line so…

Just think, how much higher will Disney have to go with thier falsified wait times in order to sell this? Space Mountain with a true 35 minute wait, but with a posted 60 minute wait can move on up to a 90 minute posted wait time. $$$$$$$
