LL overlap questions

For single use lightning lanes, can you book the return times for the same times? For example, if I were booking LLs for 7 Dwarfs and Tron, could they both have a return time of 2pm, or do they need to be staggered? Similarly, are these single LL return times independent of whatever I book for the multi lightning lane picks?

For multi lightning lanes, once in the parks, can subsequent LLs overlap? (For example, I book PotC as one of my three pre-booked LLs and it has a return time of 10am, while my HM pre-booked LL has a return time of 8am...once I have ridden HM, can I book my next attraction's LL for 10am even if I already have PotC)?

Trying to figure out the best strategy with us since we have disabled members in our party, etc., so want to maximize the benefits of our LLs for our needs.

SPs are booked entirely separately from MP LLs. It will even let you prebook SP for the exact same return window as a MP LL. (I do this at Epcot a lot actually with Cosmic Rewind and whatever my burner is since I never plan to ride the latter)

Overlapping is much stricter when prebooking than on the fly in the parks, you can overlap fairly heavily once you tap in and are trying to book additional LLs. I've had LLs overlap as close as 20 minutes before (eg LL 1: 11-12, LL 2: 11:20 - 12:20). The only issue is if you have ADRs, sometimes it's still a bit "helpful" not letting you book too close to one which is why I don't really recommend them on a day you are trying to hardcore maximize LLMP.

I'm confused as to why you'd be booking two SPs for the same return window though.

Thanks, this is a very helpful clarification!

The two SPs would be for the same window (or very highly overlapped over one another) because we'd essentially be doing them back to back on a low crowd day, so the only space between them time-wise would be how long it takes to walk from one to the other. Basically turns them into as close to walk-ons as we can get which would be very helpful to some of the members of my group with health conditions who won't qualify for the revised DAS.
