Hiii, so I haven’t posted in a very long time I got locked out of my old account. I’m sorry that I asked this in different thread, but figured I’d try here as well. Bc I’m stressed.

We’re headed to the Riviera in 12 days (7/21) and I have a bit of an issue that I could use some guidance on.

I’ve never used the new multi pass system. I’m very familiar with all previous iterations of the FP/LL system.
I’m due to make our LL selections on Monday (7/14).
I’m traveling with my parents, and doing all of their planning, but they arrive the day after us (7/22). I can’t make their LL selections until Tuesday (7/15).
Even though all of our tickets are dated for 7/23, Disney told me that doesn’t matter.

So my question is do I make my LL for the 3 of us on Monday then make all of my parents LL on Tuesday and hope they’re close enough to overlap? OR defer and make them all together on Tuesday hoping for the best?
Thank you! 😊

That's is correct. Since they don't arrive until Tuesday 7/22, they can't book LLMP and/or LLSP until Tuesday July 15th. The fact that the tickets all start on July 23rd is not part of the equation.

I would suggest you just follow the advise posted above and book all days at the same time starting at 7 AM ET on Tuesday, July 15th.

Thank you all so much! I’m fairly nervous to use this new system.
I’d almost welcome the kiosks back. 👀

Do your parents want to ride all the headliners with you? If so, I agree with others that waiting is best. If not, you could book the headliners they don’t want to ride on the earlier day and wait until the later day to book the rides everyone will do together.

For the most part yes, my mom hasn’t been since 87 or 88. We’re staying 3 days longer than them so my plan on Monday is to book our days without them and our Epcot morning just to see if we can snag Test Track, which is important to my 6 yr old, then I’ll make the rest of the days together on Tuesday.

We had this situation in October last year. We arrived a day before my parents. I just booked ours on our booking day and booked theirs the next day. I was able to get everything for them lined up for the same attractions and same time windows as ours. If you are that worried about it, then I would definitely wait and book them altogether.

If you have head count available in your room/villa, you could add your parents to your arrival night even though they won’t be there yet and then you can do all LL selections from the first day it’s available to you.

I don't think I would recommend this approach. I know what you're suggesting, and in theory it could work. But since the parents have a completely separate reservation 1 day later, it can get really messy with the same names on 2 different resort reservations at the same time. There's a chance the LLs could get messed up.

We did this with our trip in March. When the parents arrive, at the front desk they can be removed from the first room and checked in to second room. It was seamless and no problems arose with keys or LLs. Since the parents are not the lead guest in the first room, they are simply “moving” to the second room when they arrive and are removed from your villa at the front desk on checkin day and added to theirs.
