LL Bean rocks!

I know it's been talked about here before but, I just have to say that LL Bean has the absolute best return policy/guarantee policy ever! Last summer, I bought a LL Bean bathing suit. I wore it twice. Yesterday I put it on and the plastic piece that adjusts the halter top broke in half.
I knew that the backpacks were guaranteed, but I didn't realize that applied to all their items. I contacted them just now and was hoping that I might be able to return the top for replacement or a merchandise credit. The rep was so nice and told me that I could return it for a full refund! While I am bummed that the suit broke, I am thrilled that I am able to return it for a full refund a year later! LL Bean rocks!

they are pretty nice and the return policy is the best I've ever dealt with. I got a backpack from there in highschool. Some of the waterproofing material on the inside was flaking off so I looked up to see if they had any sort of guarantee (because I seriously didn't know) and low and behold, LIFETIME. I was skeptical. I called and she said sure...just send it back. AND I even got a check from them for postage because I mailed it back AND because they didn't have the exact one I sent back and had to send me another color which I didn't care.

NO - it is NOT a "LIFETIME" guarantee. It is a SATISFACTION GUARANTEE. Were you satified with how much use you got? If yes, the guarantee doesn't apply. If not, then it does.

We've always liked LLBean's backpacks for our kids. This year, our school district is switching to clear or mesh backpacks for the HS kids. I've looked at LLBean's website and I'm unable to find one, and the ones you ca find locally look really cheap. Any ideas of where I can find some that will last more than a month?

I recommend the Jansport Mesh Backpacks. I think they also come with a very long warranty. I had to wash my sons bag because it was smelling funny, hung it to dry and it is good as new! Both of my children use the Jansport bags for school and they have held up just fine.

I've never seen Jansport clear backpacks. Where did you get them from?

I have a travel bag, the medium size to hold toiletries. I absolutely love it, I keep it stocked and ready to go. It is in perfect shape, at least 8 years old. Didn't know about the lifetime guarantee but don't think I will need to use it, this item is like new.
