LL Bean Free Shipping Code

I have past experience with the beans backpacks. they last a long time. This is the first year i've purchased them for my daughters. i wanted to get them something that would last and that they dont have to be super careful with. Beans return policy is great. If there are any problems with the zippers, etc they will repair them.Of course it's easier for me to return to the store than other people. If you have any problem with your purchase just send it back and they will replace it for you. Hope this helps.

I've always bought LLBean backpacks for DD12 and she's used each one 2 to 3 years. They would have lasted her longer but I don't make her use the same backpack year after year, I'm probably pushing it with three. :) I bought her the messenger style bag last year and it still looks like new so she'll be using it again this year and probably her freshman year.

Thanks so much !! It saved $8 on my sons $49 backpack. He is so hard on the cheap ones I figured I'd order a good one and hope it makes it all year.

Thanks again for posting !!!

Thank you OP! This code worked for me this afternoon...and with the shipping money I saved, I was able to justify the $5 monogramming for my DD6.

To the poster who asked about why the backpacks are so popular - I have been using an LLBean bag since they became "all the rage" when I was in high school (in the 80's...eeek!). I still have my original bag in fact...it took me from 9th grade, through college, and is still going strong. They wear well, wash well, and are very comfortable. It was a no brainer for me to start buying them for my kids when I became a mom. (no...I do not work for LLBean, nor do I have any inheritance riding on their reputation.... :lmao: )

Anyone have any experiences with LL Bean Deluxe rolling backpack? I trying to get DD12 a new backpack and rollers work great for her..tons of books etc. Also, DS5 will be going to kindergarten how are the smaller backpacks for ages 4-7. :)

Not sure about the rolling backpacks...but my DD6 just finished kindergarten and used the Jr. Original Book Pack. It was the perfect size for her - the bigger book packs are just a bit too big for their little bodies IMHO. Here's the link:

Just keep in mind that you may need to upgrade to a bigger size for first or second grade. But it's only $19.

Did anyone get their order yet?

Not yet. I have been tracking my order and it's been all over the place. :confused3

On 7/29 it was in Orlando. I live 2 1/2 hours south of Orlando. I thought I'd have it the next day. Nope! It went to Dallas. UGH!! Why would they send it totally out of the way there? :confused3 Oh well, hopefully now that it is in Georgia it will make it's way back down south to me. I just want it here by the first day of school 8/16. :)

Bugbugmom, rolling backpacks don't fit in the tall, narrow lockers. The shorter, wider lockers would probably be OK. I teach in a middle school and no rolling backback will fit in the locker, be it a Bean's backpack or a Walmart version. Schools are getting stricter about where students can keep their backpacks, so you might want to check the size of her locker (I'm assuming she'll be a 6th or 7th grader?) before buying one with wheels.

LL Bean backpacks last FOREVER. My DH's lasted for his senior year of HS, 4 years of college, backpacking around the UK, and we still use it often, 4 years later. So far we have 9 years of use out of that one backpack! The one he had before lasted from 7th-11th grade, and still was functional when he got this one. Younger kids are harder on backpacks than older kids, but you can still get several years of use from them. A lot of my students write all over theirs and then want a new one the next year because the graffiti isn't relevant anymore, even though the backpack is perfectly fine. So, parents might want to let their children know that this backpack is going to last for several school years. :)

I asked my DH who works for UPS why they would do this if you live in FL. He says that it was probably mis-sorted and went the wrong way.

Oh, that's not good news. I live in Martin County and tracked DS's backpack to Orlando this morning. I hope it doesn't head to TX amd GA next, like your's did.

DS got his backpack this morning. It only took 6 days. I love how it has that rubbery stuff on the bottom so it won't get torn up being dragged on the road. That's what happened to his last rolling backpack.

Thanks so much! That's probably what happened. I just checked on it today and it said it departed Atlanta. Hopefully it's coming down south. :confused3

I used this code today, and it still works! Combined with our tax free weekend, I saved quite a bit by not paying tax or shipping. I must stop shopping now - tax free weekend ends in 2 1/2 hours! :)

Just a thank you to the OP for posting. I did a good chunk of my Christmas shopping yesterday with LLBean and was very happy to get free shipping too!! Thanks again! :goodvibes

Thanks for this! I ordered several winter shirts for myself today and the code still works.
