LL Bean back packs - can i wash them

in the washing machine? I want to use my kids backpacks again next year as they are still in great shape, just a bit dirty - can i wash them in the machine and line dry them?

I have for years, no problem. I still have/use my LLB backpack from college. (Oh, just a couple years ago... )

I have washed all of ours( we have 5) with no problems.
They still look good and they are ready for next year.

I've never had a problem either. Wash w/ cold on gentle/delicate cycle and air dry. Look good as new!

I've been washing mine since college and that was almost 10 years ago. You can always call and ask customer service for their washing instructions.

They are out - air drying and look great - i used a touch of detergent - the label says handwash only w/soap! BUT they are now like new!

The only bad thing I've found if they get washed too much is that they lose a bit of their waterproofing. Not bad for a school pack, bad if you're a hiker
