Lion King is going to have the familiar songs... So maybe better for younger kids who know Simba.

I think Nemo is grand and visually stunning with original songs by Bobby and Krista Lopez. The song writing pair who wrote a small song that might take off one day called 'let it go'

FoLK for the Win.

My kids who were 6 7 and 8 when they saw NEMO first time were bored out of their mind and thought it was slow and not very interesting... And they all LOVED the Movie and we were staying in the Nemo suite at AoA. They have never wanted to go on our return trips.

Now FoLK we see every time and it is much anticipated and (after EE) everyone favorite thing in AK!!

I love Nemo, but you'll get a lot of split opinions on it. I think especially for kids the ages of yours, Lion King is the way to go - familiar music, lots of activity (Tumble Monkeys! Fire Dancers! Aerialists!) and audience participation, plus it's shorter. I am not a Lion King fan, and even I think FOTLK is great and a must-do.

you really can't go wrong with either show, why not let your kids decide instead of a bunch of strangers ? its a pity you can't fit both in

Both are good. They are very different from each other. My daughter has enjoyed both at a young age and at a mid elementary school age. Definitely let the kids pick, or if you think there will be a split vote- you decide based on the type of show you are looking for. FotLK = celebratory, song, dance, audience participation, close knit atmosphere between performers and crowd with a center stage, acrobatics, fire spinning. Nemo = small Broadway type version of the film, larger theater facing a stage at the front, puppetry, screen effects.

Both are spectacular for different reasons.

My wife, she prefers the costumes and theatrics of Nemo. I prefer the music and diversity of performances in Lion King.

I tend to agree, Nemo can be less enjoyable depending on seating, whereas Lion King has no bad seats.

And Lion King will keep you on the edge of your seat, whereas Nemo can drag.

But Nemo is spectacular.

You cannot make a bad choice.

My kids have never been big fans of the Lion King. But they love love love Nemo. I guess it all depends which one will hold your kids attention.

Personal choice.

We have been seated fairly close at times in Nemo. We have also been seated in the center, but towards the top, and preferred these seats to watch the theatrics unfold.

If I were to suggest 'good seats', it would be to try and sit in the center, not necessarily close to the stage. But that's my preference.

On the other hand, since Lion King is done in-the-round, we have no preference for seating.

I honestly say both! (and don't forget Flights of Wonder too!)

But the Lion King show is about 20-30 minutes while Nemo is 45 + earlier arrival.

The best seats for Nemo are right behind the center aisle. Some actors/ puppeteers use that center aisle during some scenes.

Lion king easily. We did nemo once and hated it. Found it to be quite boring.
