Living on the Edge Disney Dining Adventures May 2015 WPE and Final Thoughts 7/26

Yak and Yeti is definitely going on the list for next March! Looks so yummy! And how cute is Alexander with that menu???
You will love it! I thought the menu picture was sooo cute and hilarious!

I'm with ya on Tangerine Cafe. Oh so good and they really do have enormously generous portions.

Gonna have to add that curry to my must try list at Yak n Yeti. Sounds delicious. Is it spicy at all? Just asking so I know if my daughter can share with me or not. And agree the wontons are definitely one of the best things on property.

It's not spicy at all. It is more sweet if anything.

Coming out of lurkdom. Your food choices look so delicious!:thumbsup2 and with little or no angst over reservations, wonderful pixie dust:tinker:

Alexander is absolutely adorable and the picture of him eyeing the ice cream at 50's is the cutest thing ever, what a little doll he is.

Yak & Yeti looks great, as usual! :thumbsup2 And Alexander is just the cutest thing ever. Every time I see a photo of him on IG it brings a smile to my face. :goodvibes

Thank you so much, we are so blessed to have him in our lives!! I don't know how I pulled off the reservations I did, but you are correct there was no stress. We have another trip at the end of September and I do not have one ADR nor do plan to make any until that week or when we are there. People start changing and cancelling like crazy at the last minute.

Barb you know Y&Y can do no wrong in my family. I will keep that photos coming on IG, glad you enjoy them.

Awesome that you have another trip!!:cheer2: I love that you are brave enough to go without the usual ADR debacle and such success you had! Hopefully you'll do another report so we can learn more of the tricks from a pro. :thumbsup2

We ate at WPE on a whim on our last trip. It was our last day, and we still had a lot of dining credits. Wow, was it great. I had the Chinois salad that Chef Puck is famous for, my mom had the spaghetti, and both my daughter and dad had pizza. All were excellent, and the dishes certainly live up to the Wolfgang Puck name! :dogdance:

Yes I will be doing the exact same thing the next trip at the end of September. I will reporting on that trip as well :)

All of his restaurants I have tried have been nothing short of excellence.

So moving right along, can you believe I only tried one item at the Flower and Garden Festival!! However it was quality of quantity as the shrimp and grits were delicious. They were also an excellent use of a snack credit. Hopefully they will have then next year as I would love to have this dish again. For dinner that night we went to a favorite of ours for a CS credit, the Pizza Planet in DHS. I love sitting outside there and the weather was so perfect that evening. DHS was dead so it was a nice quiet evening. We both had the meat lovers pizza, side salad, and dirt and worms cupcake. That cupcake is so good and it's huge. Overall we were pleased with our dinner and would return for a CS.

That shrimp and grits looks amazing!!! Never done pizza planet, but yeah for outdoor seating. Disney definitely doesn't have enough of that.

I agree about the outdoor seating. It's more prevalent at DL, of course their weather is normally nice for outdoor seating.

Your little one looks ridiculously adorable in his Donald Duck outfit. Love it!

Your 50s Prime Time meal looks delicious! I keep trying to talk Rob into eating there, but he always backs out on me. I'm going to get there one of these times!

That liter of grapefruit beer... holy smokes! I think you're right though. Sound like too much of a good thing.

Tell Rob he is missing out on some good ol fashion comfort food at PT 50s!! Yes that grapefruit beer makes me sick even thinking about it :rotfl2:

You have a very precious little guy there. Thank you so much for your dining review. I would love to try Biergarten but unfortunately DH is not that into ethnic foods. Plus dining with strangers weirds him out. I do want to try 50's PT and I'm so glad you had something other than meatloaf, roast, and fried chicken. Not that I don't love those things but it's nice to have a variety of reviewed options. I'm hoping I can talk DH into going there on our next trip.

Looks like a great trip! I may have to put WPE on my list too. I'm a sucker for a good creme brûlée.
