Living on the Edge Disney Dining Adventures May 2015 WPE and Final Thoughts 7/26

I'm so glad you liked Teppan Edo. We ate there last month too (not up to that point in my report elsewhere), but it was yet another excellent meal. It was so good, we are going again next month as the girls love it there.

Alexander looks so proud to be sitting with the big people at the big table.

Kathy I am mad at myself for not going sooner! Alexander slept for the first half of the meal but woke up just in time for the steak and dessert!

The second day we were there it was so HOT! I got the dentist lounge chair in the corner with a glass of wine and let Lexi fall asleep on me. Perfectly happy! I had the chicken too.

I am not a fried chicken girl, but there chicken and the fried chicken in Memphis are the exception!! Hey the lounge chair and a glass a wine is the way to go!!

Following your report - your son is adorable! We've never tried Teppan Edo because my daughter won't eat hibachi unless it's drenched in shrimp sauce. I didn't think they had it there, but saw it in your pics! She is ecstatic, off to make our ADR!!!

Their sauces were so good!! She will be happy for sure!

Can't wait to go back in September

Mmmm, Teppan Edo looks great. I haven't been there since I was a kid and reviews like yours make me wonder why I haven't been back. Hopefully we can pull off a last minute ADR like you and try it next trip.

I normally see it online last minute often, so you should be able to get in. Or just show up when they open as that is what others were doing when we went and they did not have a problem.

Finally getting caught up here on the DIS. Your great Biergarten review has me thinking that a return visit there is long overdue (I haven't been in more than 10 years!). Regarding Prime Time, I was glad to see that you got to try the PB&J shake and liked it. I was a bit leery of that one before I first tried it a couple of years ago. Now I'm a big fan! :thumbsup2 And Teppan Edo has always been a pretty solid choice for me. Glad you enjoyed your first visit there!

Great review and super cute DS! I'm guessing the Star Wars breakfast was just a short term thing? We would definitely do it if it were available in September.

You should go back to Biergarten, it's soooo good plus free entertainment is a bonus. TE is on my favorite list now!!

It's only on during May and June at this time. Also thank you for the sweet compliment.

Everything looks so good there, especially that green tea cheesecake. I'm happy you had a wonderful meal. I really wanted to try Teppan Edo but I'm not very comfortable dining with strangers.

Subscribed! Might have to do some on-the-edge living myself around the same time next year. Good to know what to expect :)

The dining with others wasn't really that bad. We had a few chairs between us and everyone kept to themselves. I find Biergarten more akward :rotfl2:

I tell you last minute ADRS is the way to go IMO.

Your reviews are great! We took my dd when she was 18 months old to Teppan Edo and she at the noodles - I felt bad when we left- there were noodles on the floor, on her seat, down the hallway..... lol

I think it's a great place for little ones, though.

Thank you! That is hilarious with the noodles! I am glad she enjoyed it

Loving your reviews. Teppan Edo looks really good. Will put it on the list of places to try. Thanks for sharing!

Update Time!

That evening we hit up WS and I had the platter at Tangerine Cafe. I tell you it is one of the best meals on property. The shaved lamb and beef with couscous, veggies, sauces, and pita bread is so darn delicious. The dressert was baklava, but I was too full to have any. My DH had the CS in France, which was the croque Monsieur with a merengue puff with chocolate sauce, but excellent. I didn't take photos that night, but highly recommend both places.

The next day for lunch we went to one of our all time favorite places Yak & Yeti. We could not get a reservation but went right at opening and were seated immediately. This place is so beautiful and the food is truly special. We always order the same thing! If it ain't broke don't try and fix it, right! I had my beloved seafood curry. For me that bowl of goodness is worth the trip to WDW!! The blend of shrimp, scallops, mahi mahi, mussels in a yummy coconut curry sauce with rice topped with cilantro is the perfect dish. I love this so much I found the recipe online and made it. My DH always gets the ribs with fried rice. The ribs are fall off the bone tender and the rice is very nice. For desert I had the fries wontons, one of the best desserts on property, and my DH had the cheesecake. Can't wait to return to this delightful place!!

Exactly! That Seafood Curry is the best thing ever at Y&Y!

We are trying Y&Y for the first time in September and I'm thinking of trying the seafood curry. I haven't read one bad review of it on the forums and it looks delicious!

I did not like Tang Cafe, but then I'm not a fan of that food. We love Yak & Yeti (eating there Saturday I think). Your husbands ribs look really good...I may have to change things up a bit.

And Happy 1st Birthday to Alexander again.

You know it!!

I hope you love it as much as I do!

Yes I agree Tangerine Cafe is not for everyone. I only tried it recently as I has not had that type of food until I visited Spain a couple of years ago. Thanks again for the birthday wishes, he had a nice day and lived all his balloons. Off to his first year checkup right now.

Yak and Yeti is definitely going on the list for next March! Looks so yummy! And how cute is Alexander with that menu???
