How long does this ride take? I've ridden it many times, and never really cared before, but we need to make it back to AoA by 12:30 for MDE. If I have it scheduled for 11:10, do we make it on time?

The ride is about 15 minutes from start to finish, including time getting on and off the boat. If you are ready to get into the fast pass line at 11:10 exactly and there's no delay in getting on you would be done by 11:25 and if you went right to the buses and had good timing on the bus not having to wait long the bus should get you back in time for 12:30 for your Magical Express.

If your FP is at 11:10 you can use it at 11:05. That would give you 5 extra minutes of cushion. The bus back to the resort should not be crowded since at that time most people are still headed to the parks instead of away from them, so you shouldn't have to wait for multiple buses.

Thanks, everyone. Those were my thoughts too. I think we'll just have 2 FP rides before heading back to AoA. Oh, well! Like that great philosopher of our time, Mary Poppins, once said, "Enough is as good as a feast!" Thanks again

It sounds like you have a 9:00 and 10:00 FP along with the 11:10 LWTL. as soon as you tap for your 10:00 FP, you can get on MDX and see if you can move up the Living with the Land one (you probably will be able to at that time of day). Then you could probably be on LWTL by 10:30 at the latest and that SHOULD be enough time to get back to AoA.

Great suggestion, mamamelody2. I honestly didn't think of moving it up after the second tap. That just might work. Many thanks!

Just know that if 12:30 is your pick up time with MDE, that bus is pulling out at 12:30 whether you are on it or not. They will NOT wait for you, and if you miss it, you have to get yourselves to the airport.
Totally get that and that is the motivation for my post.

I saw it 30 min this very wknd on Mdx and showed my wife. I've seen it longer once in a while. But yes, normally a FP isn't needed, that line moves fast.

I also don't risk cutting it close on the ME bus, especially since we typically have to retrieve carry on bags from bellhop too. But have been able to get on the next bus when our bus didn't show up. Wouldn't count on it but if there's room they've helped get us on before.

The answer to this is that you NEVER EVER have to use a FP for Living with the Land! Go on it anytime you want want during the morning... I guarantee you won't wait more than three minutes.

Not always true. When we were there last year during the week after Thanksgiving, we waited almost 40 minutes to ride. The sign said 20 minutes and my Mom wanted to see this otherwise we would have come back at another time. You don't say what your other FPs are but you might consider hitting this as soon as you get there, before your first FP. This way you can leave the park after your second FP and get back to AofA in plenty of time for your MDE.

Been a while since we were willing to wait something like 45 for Lwtl... when Soarin was newer and wait times for Soarin we're crazy, pp went to the nearby consolation. I feel silly adding lwtl as a 4th FP, but sometimes do just because you can and not hopping from EP. After tier 1 and somewhat needing FP for SSE, you don't even need the 3rd one for Nemo but we pick it just because we can.

I've seen it be a solid and accurate 30 minute wait with the queue spilling out into the food court. And I'm not talking Christmas week.

Yep. We had to FP LWTL last October. The queue was sometimes 45 min+.

We made the mistake of waiting once thinking "pffftt, no way this ride has a line THAT long". It was, and then some.

It was a 20 minute wait when we were in The Land pavilion around 10 am on July 4th- but July 4th was a very crowded day at Epcot. I did end up getting a 4th fastpass for it because it was at least 20 minutes most of the day.

Most mornings we have been at Epcot we have walked right on any time before 11.

Standby is quite possibly an option. USUALLY it is a pretty quick walk onto the ride. I HAVE from time to time seen a long line, perhaps upwards of 20 to 30 minutes, with the line literally spilling into the food court, during the summer months, but that is not typical. It might at least be worth looking to see if there is a long line, you may find that standby will get you on just as fast as FP+, and have the added advantage of being able to ride when ever you want, such as between your first two FP+ so that you can be out of the park after FP+ #2

Don't forget if you do get short on time and don't see an AoA bus, you can always hop on a POP bus instead. Bit of a hike, but better than waiting around and getting back too late. I don't think it should come to that, but good to keep in mind. We've done it the opposite way a few times. At park closing, empty AOA bus and multiple bus loads waiting for POP. But usually it's not faster, depends on where your hotel room is in the resort. Works great when your room is close to the other hotel.

I'd try to move up your FP. You can do it as soon you swipe your second one and are in line for that ride. Seems like the best suggestion so far.
