Live TR 10 nights cabana bay

We are flying out today from England. First part of our trip is 10 nights at Cabana bay.

At Manchester airport waiting to board. Long day for us with a 9 hour flight.

Just the 3 of us me, dh and dd who is 9.

Following along! we arrive Friday the 23. Our dds are close to the same age. Maybe we will meet you in the parks!!!

We are staying at HRH for 8 nights

Made it! Checked in 8.30pm - 17 hours after setting off. We are in continental. Resort seems very busy. Very friendly welcome and no check in line at resort.

Come out to village inn for a quick bite to eat. Free pie on a Wednesday and we like to eat here at least once.

Had a good nights sleep cabana bay beds are as comfy as I recalled. Up at 5am (always happens for first few days due to 5 hr time difference) been unpacking. Will head out for breakfast then to both universal parks. Nice easy day 1 will just take it easy today after epic travel day.

We made it to park for 7.20. Started off with despicable me ride then had breakfast in leaky cauldron for the first time. Dd tried but didn't like pumpkin juice. Didn't ride gringotts as down during early entry. Anna did some spells with her interactive wand and we spent some time in the shops. Dh and dd shared the first big pink of the trip. Upgraded tickets at guest services to 2xpower and 1 preferred annual pass and also swapped the photo card from the 14 day I'd prepaid to an annual pass one for no extra cost. Now sat in the sunshine at city walk while did has a hair wrap done. Swimming this afternoon. We always have an easier day 1, at universal until 23rd so no rush.

Had lunch at breadbox at city walk, dd loved the Nutella shake (she had Nutella cream pie at village in Wednesday she is a big Nutella fan) afternoon in pool and lazy river. Weather is gorgeous clear blue skys. They inflated our rings for free dd has one from cabana last year but mine is a big pink Simpsons donut style one. Could hear some construction noise when in pool but not too bad. Got our refill mugs - they have Halloween ones. Evening was altamonte mall shopping and Bahama breeze. in bed for 9pm (jet lag first few days)

Non universal day today. Went to legoland as we had some free tickets. Been twice before but will be our last time as dd 9 is now into bigger rides. Waterski pirate show was fun though. Pool this evening, well hot tub for me. Nice atmosphere lots of families. Also watched some of the movie by the pool. It started off as the mummy (original black and white) but got chAnged to Harry Potter 4th film.Think someone may have complained?! Anyway dd was pleased. Chilling out in bed, dd got hot choc in her refill mug and me coffee with the French vanilla creamer they have. Dh asleep.

it is a good thing to break up your trip with side places to hit.
legoland is fun, especially since you got free tickets for it.

Did early entry this morning, they opened just before 7am and by 7am we were actually in diagon alley. We all rode gringotts then dd did spells with her interactive wand. Ice cream for breakfast! Dh had chilli chocolate, me apple crumble and dd mint soft serve. She met the knight bus conductor then we hopped over the hogs mead on Hogwarts express arriving at 9. Me and dd did forbidden journey then dd went on hippo gruff twice. Had drinks in 3 broomsticks dh liked the hot butter beer (he likes butter beer too sweet for me) ate lunch at mythos for first time enjoyed the fish tacos. Spent afternoon in pool, was really hot and sunny. Dj on lazy river side was a fun atmosphere- dd didn't want to come off the lazy river.

Saw blue man group for the first time last night which was funny and different. We all enjoyed it and danced at the end. Ate afterwards in hard rock, did a bit more dancing to ymca! then bus back to cabana bay. So far we have never waited for a bus they have been fantastic. All staff at cabana and bus drivers have been so friendly and helpful too.

Sunday we had a fantastic time at mnsshp. I'd reserved the hallowwidhes dessert party and for us it was worth it great uncrowded view of parade and fireworks. Today we are going to gator land for first time then hopefully mini golf at citiwalk this evening. Just had brunch at hash house a go go.
