:scared1: OUCH! But for a train tour, I'd do it too!

Power touring exacts a heavy price!!

Goodnight

G'nite, Bob! Sleep well!

Loving the trip report. But I am not sure what Herman's Hermits are so I am going to research a little.(A band, duh, I should have known that) Keep the info coming.

Currently sitting at a table on Tom Sawyer Island across from the Haunted Mansion enjoying a nice day. Only 83 so, 50% chance of rain later.

Train tour was very much worth getting up at 6am. When in Disneyland try to ride in front with the engineer, can't do that here.

Going to spend a few hours here then monorail over to Epcot.

Had an early lunch at Pecos. BBQ sandwich not bad.

Dinner tonight is Cape May. Yum.

Time to wander the island.

Beginning to rain! Feels good! Very windy. Now pouring like a good thunderstorm should. Aahh

Heading to resort for a break then off to Beach Club for dinner. Ill grab a poncho and my umbrella!

Rain is great for a while just as long as it clears up in time for Illiuminations.

Later

hey bob,

Hope you are having a great time. I just read this on a SWW tips page and wanted to foward it to you.

I just received an update from my Star Tours 2 app (by touringplans.com and studioscentral.com) that Star Tours 2 is doing soft opening NOW!
Nobody has verified if this a fact yet but I wanted to let you know. It was posted this afternoon.
Hope the rain stops in time for illuminations.:thumbsup2

Thank you for the update on Star Tours. I downloaded the ap so I'll be ready next Tim.

Cape May was great. Stuffed again! I filled the little buckets 3 times with used crab legs. Very good.

Decided to take the long way back to Epcot, strolling the Boardwalk. Seen a couple acts so far, good stuff.

Nice places here, but way too much $. Maybe I'll win a prize someday. Ha ha

Tomorrow is AK all day with dinner at Yak & Yeti.

Looking forward to Everest the most, even if Disco Yeti is on vacation.

Time to keep strolling.

Ahhh... slowing down some to take in the surrounding sights. Lovely!

Oh! Enjoy! Try to get that window table upstairs.

Looking forward to Everest the most, even if Disco Yeti is on vacation.

Every coaster junkie will love it--supremely themed! The queue is amazing!

Time to keep strolling.

Have a great rest of the evning!

I saw some confused by "all you can eat" they must have thought it said "all you carry on one plate". Holy Cow!

This has to be the worst water I have EVER tasted in my life. I thought it was LA water, but no this has them all beat by a mile. It even smells bad when showering. :(

Saw a wedding party at Epcot. They came out on the bridge by Italy for Illuninations then inside America for the reception. Wow I bet that cost a bundle!

I said the Swan stuck out like a sore thumb, but I guess it's the Dolphin, whatever is the giant triangle.

The sports is a great place. I figured out a shortcut to buses, no need to walk by the pools.

After AK tomorrow I will slow down more. Another blister, legs are sore and a shoulder injury I haven't felt in a while has returned with a vengeance.

It would be cool to know how many people are subscribed reading this ramblings.

Wish I did this years ago when I was in better physical shape.

Goodnight again thanks for reading! Bob

Well, I had a spot right in front of Walt & Mic

M,M&you was wonderful, i teared up when Walt came on

Wishes was great again.

Now, sitting on a bench waiting for the crowd to die down.

I need a cocktail.

Feet are tired but still seems weird to end the night at 9pm. I looked over my plan and I modified it sleep in more and hit the sack earlier. I knew my Harriet thing would be fighting the urge to stay in each park open to close. But my feet an back are talking to me, (more like screaming at me!)

Time to leave, talk to ya later.
Bob

Sheesh, I must have been sitting right near you! I was alone too, DH left that am and I was waiting for my sister to come in that night. I was on a bench to the left of Walt and Mickey as you're looking at the castle. Great view! I sat there two hours to keep it lol.

Part 2. The lady at the front desk was suprised when she saw I was staying 20 nights. She made sure I won't have to switch rooms. I dropped my carry on in the room and hopped on a bus to the MK. I traded in my 10 day for a AP then rode the train twice around. I walked down to get my picture in front of the castle. I was expecting bigger! :) Then I caught a monorail to the Poly.

Hiya of you don't mind my asking what is the price difference to purchase an AP w/a 10 day ticket? We go in Aug for 10 days and then again in Nov for 11 and i am beginning to wonder if we should too. Thanks:)

Yes, the least magical thing about WDW is the water. :crazy2:

I hope you enjoy AK - try to get on KS in the morning as we've had better luck seeing animals earlier in the day!

You have me inspired to do my own live report. Loving your style!

Hi Bob!
Solo trips really are a fabulous thing at Disney! (My husband does NOT travel and I just LOVE Disney, so I must go anyway!).
I love hearing about your first experiences in the WORLD!
We are here for you, so tell us everthing (please)!

It was $189.90 to go from a 10 PH to a AP well worth it for my 20 day trip.

I certainly agree that the Swan/Dolphin is a sore thumb. It just does not fit there. I am enjoying the updates. Can't wait to hear what you think of AK. I love the park but my family said that I get grouchy there because of the heat and crowd. Last year we did it at night for late EMH. I was told they no longer do this. Too bad because it was wonderful!

At DAK

Did KS first, lots of animals, bumpy ride.

Next was Everest, 3 times in a row by single rider, a 1 minute wait each time! Great ride. The intensity of it suprised me. Fun

Lunch at Flame Tree . Excellent ribs, some of the best I have ever had! Yummy!

Time to wander again. Then I'll do Everest in the regular line. And I have FP for it and KS.

Later

I forgot ... Disco Yeti was visible! Just flashing lights but he looked great.
