Hello everyone!
As Shirley posted, we made it to Port Canaveral, and after an enjoyable breakfast with her, it was on to the Disney Wonder. Something new...I don't know if this has been posted before or not, but you now go through the security check (metal detector, x-ray) before you enter the port building. I like that better because it means that the line to get on the ship moves very quickly. We just finished watching Herc and will be getting ready for dinner (dinner times are currently 5:45 and 8 p.m.), but I wanted to check in quickly. Things are already off to a "wonder"ful start. It was great to see our friends in the port, and I can't even begin to describe the greetings from Karen and Sasha!! The sea is smooth as glass...not even rough over the gulf crossing. We are hoping to continue our Castaway Cay streak...we'll probably just stay on board in Nassau. I'll be able to check in at least once a day, since we signed up for the unlimited internet package. Phyllis, can't wait to see you and Tinkerkat!!
One new experience...when we landed in Orlando last night, we had to sit on the tarmac for a while due to the lightning (they close the ramps when it gets too bad).
Well, off to get ready for dinner.
