Live Halloween trip.

Have a safe flight and a magical trip! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

At airport, bag drop had no line. Flight on time, should leave at 8:55am.

Have a safe trip Wayne. You'll have to pick up Matt a few of his favourite things so you don't feel too bad that he hasn't gone with you :thumbsup2

Just spotted a great deal on Blue Man Group tickets for November, Wayne!

We saw the new show in July, got tickets from here, there were far cheaper than anywhere else, even AP price was nowhere near. Have a look how they compare

No problems with flights via Chicago, arrived at MCO 15 mins early at 6:30pm. best economy food I have had for a few years.
Preboked a bargain car with Holiday Autos/Alamo. Long line so I tried their Kiosk machines again, wouldn't accept my DL in July but this time I tried a different way, instead of it trying to read my DL I put in it had no bar code or mag strip. It then let me enter details manually and found my res. Only downside it wouldn't accept Karen, she has never driven in 30 trips so doubt she would this time, I just like to add her if free. It said I could add her if I saw a rep, not a chance with the line, I reckon 60-90 mins long.
Had a few cars to choose from in Fullsize cat, even a 7 seater minivan there. I opted for a Chevy Impala, nothing fantastic but at £153 incl tank of gas for 10 nights I am happy enough.
We had a couple of food vouchers that were only valid for Halloween, tried Sweet Toms to use BOGOF voucher but they had a sign out saying closing at 8pm for Halloween, then went to Texas Roadhouse, free entree upto $12 (they actually knocked off $12 instead of value of entree at $11.29) Happy hour with $2 pints of Bud(only 1 I was driving) I had steak & ribs, one of most tender steaks I have ever had, total for food & drinks $23.10 + $6 tip Pics to follow when I have had some sleep, been up 23 hours now.
Studios in the morning.

glad you're here safe

the impala's a nice car. that's what we currently have (from alamo) and what we choose whenever we rent in the us

you've just missed the cold spell we had for the last couple of days. should be plenty of sunshine and a warmer temperatures for the week to come (i still saw a few people with gloves on this morning at mk ... and one of the lifeguards at pop was dressed like if he was going skiing ... lol)

welcome home and have a wonderful stay

halloween was a bust around here (in detroit area) - i didn't see anyone dressed up.
the weather is very cold - sudden arctic drop in temperture, so everyone's too busy keeping warm...
detroit really is the armpit of the universe (where i was born and lived until i was 18 and then again in my early 30's for 5 years)....
not surprising to see all the empty houses and commercial buildings...

the dire straits of the US economy can be seen well in this city....

on the other hand, there really are some very interesting tourist attractions that are worth a visit, Greenfield Village being at the top of the list.

No problem Wayne - it just sounded like a good meal. I know where this is so thanks for the info on both :thumbsup2 Hope you and Karen enjoy flying solo!!

Sorry(I sould double check my posts when so tired) last night we ate at Logans Roadhouse opp the Old Town Hwy 192. We have Texas Roadhouse down for later in the trip, it only opened earlier this year so not 100% sure where but its out towards Hwy 27 on Hwy 192. http://www.texasroadhouse.com/restaurant-locations/florida/kissimmee

I seem to remember it's near mile marker 3 and has quite a sharp turn into the entrance :scared1:
Did not think it was as good as the ex-Hunters Creek, but that may have been due to it still 'settling in'

A few pics. Sorry if any are wrong way around, not sure why they are correct on my account.

:goodvibes Sounds like a great trip so far Wayne! Each picture of your food choices makes me so hungry, and certainly makes me keen to eat offsite more next year!

Hi Wayne, your trip crept up on me, only realised looking at Matts' blog, he seems to be really enjoying himself and has settled in.

Hope you two are doing okay without him, not too many years till that will be us with Cassidy, although we seemed to do okay before we had her with the visits.

Enjoy your trip and liking the updates as usual, keep them coming for all of still waiting for our next trips x.

Good morning Wayne and Karen! We were at the studios yesterday and Epcot. Will be looking out for you both. We're off to the Halloween party tonight :)

Looks like it's going to be another good trip!

Thanks for the report so far - signing on for this one. Should have been there ourselves recently but had to cancel at a very late stage and just getting back into planning for next one.

Looking forward to trying Logan's Roadhouse as it always seems to get good reviews:thumbsup2
