Live from WDW!

I'm amazed to hear about some of the short lines you're encountering. That's great! Sounds like you're eating at some fun places too. I LOVE 50s Prime Time.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop. Next best thing to being there myself. ;)

I love live trip reports! Thank you for including us in your adventure. I have a little over a month wait till my next trip to WDW and this helps build the excitement!! Can't wait to try out the new Star Tours...glad you liked it!!

Yay, another reader! You'll love the new Star Tours!

Yeah, the lines have been fantastic! One of the CMs told us we just missed the majority of the tour groups by about a week, so I'm sure that helps. As for the food, thats half the fun for us! We love eating at all the amazing restaurants here!

We got up nice and early today to eat at The Crystal Palace. It's so nice to get into the park early and get those shots of an empty main street. :goodvibes.

Later today we'll be having supper at the T-Rex in Downtown Disney! :cloud9:

Thanks for taking the time to do this live tr. I've never read one that was "live" and I'm loving it! Thanks!

No problem! Its a lot of fun to do. Thanks for tagging along! :goodvibes.

We just got CoP and now we're off to the TTA! Still can't call it the Peoplemover. Pretty hot today, going to have to do a ton of indoor rides. :goodvibes

So we spent the afternoon riding things like the train, the TTA and the monorail. Nothing too exciting, but it was nice to kick back and relax on stuff that had no lines. We did fastpass Buzz Lghtyear once and I finally beat DW! She's beaten me about 50 times in a row and I still can't figure out how, as in real life I have very good aim. (only against targets, I'm no hunter!). She was beating me this time too but i managed to find a target worth 100,000 points and edged her out 191k to 164k.

Enjoying your live trip report! Sounds like you guys are having a blast:goodvibes

Love following along on a live trip report. Thanks for letting us all share in the fun.

Happy to do it.
:goodvibes

So, earlier today, we had a mixup with our billing, not even really Disneys fault at all as far as I'm concerned, but we still ended up with a manager giving us a $100 gift card, 10 VIP fastpasses which are good for 3uses each and in 3 days we're getting 10 more! :scared1: So the equivalent of 60 (!!!) fastpasses and $100 just to make sure we were happy, even though it really wasn't their fault at all! And people wonder why we love Disney so much! They're going to make it back with interest from all the positive word-of-mouth we'll be giving them! :goodvibes. Thank you Disney! As a side-note, do any of you get as much of a chuckle as I do that I'm more excited over the fastpasses than the money? :rotfl:

So anyway, back to the trip. We headed down to DTD to our T-Rex reservation. I had the Lasagna and French onion soup, DW had theAge of Salmon and Lava soup (tomato). I loved my soup but I was kind of meh on the lasagna. Not that it was bad, I'm sure it was good but it had some ingredients I dont like in it. DW doesn't like salmon (absolutely no idea why she ordered it) but said hers was pretty good. After supper we went shopping at the World of Disney store and now we're doing laundry as it pours buckets outside.

I am really enjoying your live report, I am so happy I stumbled upon it. Reading about your daily adventures is getting me so excited for our trip next week. Thanks for taking the time to share your trip with us! Please continue to keep us posted on crowd levels, I am really hoping for low crowd levels while we are there.

:goodvibes

The crowds when we got to Epcot today were fairly big, however Soarin only had a 55 minute wait time, which is actually fairly decent. We ate at the Electric Umbrella which was practically empty. We both had the bacon angus burger with grapes/fries. It was decent but the bacon was almost entirely fat. We used ourVIP fast passes on Soarin and Test Track and headed to World Showcase. Walked onto both the Gran Fiesta Tour and the Maelstrom. The crowds have really died off! There was a good 30 seconds while we were sitting down that nobody walked by us on the main path! 30 seconds may not sound like much, but when you're talking about time between people walking by at Epcot in august, it's an eternity! We had some Kakigoris and then saw Reflections of China. Er, reverse that! :rotfl:

We're in Morocco now, meandering down the path to our reservations at Le Cellier at 6:15. A bit of time yet, but there's potato see.

Edit: and that last sentence is a good example of how auto-correct can produce some interesting sentences! :rotfl: I had meant to type that there was lots to see!

We arrived in France and headed to see the stained glass window in the library, but it's gone!! There's another perfume place there instead. Did they really need two side-by-side? Hopefully they're going to move it somewhere, maybe into the new Fantasyland. :confused3

We did one more ride on Soarin and gave away 2 fast passes to some people who were giving up on the 85 minute line. They were so happy! :goodvibes. We also did Figment one more time just in case the rumours are true about it shutting down.

Then it was time for supper! Mmmmm, Le Cellier, pretzel bread and cheddar cheese soup! We barely had room for our steaks because of those two items! :rotfl: Just wish the soup wasn't $9 a bowl! :scared1: We're waiting for O Canada to start now. :yay:

A DUCK TRIED TO STEAL OUR FASTPASSES! :rotfl:

We saw a cute little bunny near a fence. He hopped closer and closer. I kneeled down with my fastpasses in my hand. As the bunny got close, a duck came from the other direction and took a swipe at them! :lmao: He actually moved the tickets out of my hand a bit! I'm thinking the rabbit was the shill to distract my attention. I'm sure if that team had been successful, I'd have seen them walking into the ride later. ;)

:lmao: And I was thinking you must really like the potatoes at LC! Sounds like you are having a wonderful trip sprinkled with lots of magic. Thanks for sharing! I'll have to keep an eye out for that bunny and duck team.

And you'd be right! I do love the potatoes at LC! :cloud9: I have a bad habit at buffets where I load up my plate with 20 different types of potatoes and have no room for anything else. :lmao: We've definitely been getting our share of the pixie dust this trip. :)

Today was a bit different. We went to DHS and straight to TSM. We used our keys for regular fastpasses, and then used our VIP cards for 10 more! TSM had a 70 minute wait, took us less than 5 before we were riding. :goodvibes. Then we headed to Star Tours to get 8 fastpasses for that! We rode once and it was the same one as our first ride, so we're still 2/54. We'll probably ride both rides a few more times and then give away some of the fastpasses.

We had to leave the park at this point, as we had lost some Travellers Cheques and Amex was going to Western Union us the refund. I've got to say that Amex customer service was absolutely amazing! Finding a place that would process our transaction on the other hand, that was rough. We stopped at three different places before finally the fourth was able to do it. Some places had broken printers and the other didn't have the funds to cover it. So we had quite the tour of the Orlando area! A bit of the serried side at times too! We stopped at Sonic for lunch and now we're back at DHS where I'm typing this while DW draws Pluto at the Animation building. Think we're off to TSM after this. :woohoo:

I think that all we've been doing today is going back and forth between TSM, Star Tours and theAnimation Academy! Although we did just come out of the Muppets.

After a few more rides on TSM and Star Tours (we're 3/54 now!) it was time for supper at Sci-Fi! Oh, before I get to that, as we were wandering into Star Tours the last time, the CM in the fastpass lane said "haven't you two been on this about 6 times now? :lmao: Sci-Fi was good but we noticed that there's actually very items on the menu that we'd order now. A lot of the WDW restaurants have changed their menus since we were here in December. We both had the butcher steak with garlic mashed potatoes and :cloud9: asparagus. Don't know what it is, but I could eat asparagus all day long! I remember reading a Far Side cartoon where the guy is driving what looks like an ice cream truck playing music, but instead of ice cream, it was selling asparagus and the song was "I cuss, you cuss, we all cuss for asparagus". :rotfl: DW had the peanut butter chocolate cake and I had a hot fudge sundae. After supper, DW wanted to draw one more time. So shes in there right now. I went and found a family of 4 about to head into TSM and it's 80 minute wait. I gave them 4 fastpasses to both TSM and Star Tours. DW and I love giving them out. Even without our bonus fastpasses, we're so good at getting on all the rides we want that we always have leftover fastpasses to give away. Its such a small thing but it makes people so happy. :goodvibes

Today is universal day. We've been on FJ, used the single rider line, which was about twenty minutes and ended up sitting together anyway! Then we ate at the Three Broomsticks again. The food is excellent! Wandered around a bit and just finished watching the Hogwarts choir. Very goodshwo, the Triwizard tournament is in about10 minutes. :goodvibes

I just came upon your trip report. Love that you are doing it live and it sounds like you are having a great time. Wish I was there too!:cool1::cool1:
