Hi all
it's 7am here at sunny Boardwalk!

Just thought I'd jot down some notes / observations.

We arrived Sat with virgin- plane was an hour late but made up the time during flight. Prem economy was great we were in bubble. Was upper class supposed to be there to? As seats looked same as ours? Food was best airline food tasted.

Used magic express - worked well

We r staying at boardwalk our home resort - we r in a studio with a fab boardwalk view.

Went to Epcot on Sunday. It had emh am and we walkedfrom boardwalk. First thing we did was Soarin it had 15 min wait @ 8.30. Soon as we got off we got another fast pass for it for 11.03-12.03.

To be honest crowds seem quieter than our prevous visits.

We have the dining plan and it's great.

We paid just under 40 dollars each per day and are getting good value for money. Le cellier was great on Sunday had a lovely new York strip steak!

Due to getting blisters ( first time ever) we changed yesterdays plans . Cancelled our crystal palace reservation but we were able to get it for fri no problem. We just stayed by boardwalk . Went to espn for lunch at 6 pm went to Dtd used counter service at wolfgang puck express - this was great !

Today we r still taking it easy walking wise. We r going to go and see the new Harrypotter at dtd , we then have lunch booked at planet Hollywood .after that we plan to take a taxi to premium outlets to buy trainers for our blisters! lol

btw I'm using my iPhone for this and I've got wifi here in my room!

Would be interested on how much it eventually costs you to use your iPhone over there, maybe you could let us know when you're back? I'm not going till next April, but was already in two minds whether to take mine or not...

Glad you are having a wonderful time so far, apart from the blisters...
Proper comfy trainers with trainer socks is the best footwear in that heat with all the miles you'll end up walking!

69 days 23 hours and 30 seconds till our next trip home (Boardwalk) We have a studio with a Boardwalk view. Mole skin for the blisters, we always keep some in our fanny pack. It sounds so wonderful, I needed a little Disney magic fix. We've had a horrible summer in New England. Have a great time.

before leaving the uk I asked o2 about charges and using the iPhone rom states.
If your making a phone call it's a massive 90p a min. However texting is not bad 1 text from the states uses 4 from your text allowance. If you run out of allowance it's 25p a text.
Make sure you have roaming and voicemail turned off. You are charged if someone listens to your voicemail even if they don't leave a message.

Anyway yesterday was fab, the weather was lovely . We went to dtd to the 10.30 showing of harry potter. It was funny it souned like the theatre was full of Brits . The film finished at 1.20 and we wandered a little. I watched the new hot air balloon ride. Part of me would love to do it but the rest of my body wouldn't . The cost of the ride is 16 dollars 10 dollars for a child.

Around 1.45 we headed to planet Hollywood as we had a 2 pm ADR . We got straight in and were seated right on the floor in front of the huge screen. Good seats. Our server was a bit funny to be honest , very sharp . When she asked if everything was fine dh turned to me and said I wouldn't like to say no . Food was nice though . Dh had the salmon and I had steak. I chose to have it with a baked potato as I was trying to be good lol. I knew it would come loaded , however I was shocked at the amount of butter they put on . No kidding it was the same size as a golf ball. Luckily it had not melted so I was able to scoop it off.

Now in my endeavour to be good whilst on the dining plan I have used my snack credits to get special k ceral and milk for breakfast . Also when using a counter service meal I get a fruit cup instead of a dessert. The only time I allow myself a pudding was when I am using a table service credit. At planet Hollywood I had the warm chocolate brownie with icecream and fudge sauce mmmm.! Dh had key lime pie.

After lunch we took a taxi to Orlando premium outlets . It cost 19 dollars. We knew exactly what we wanted. We only went in 3 shops but spent about an hour in each. Nike , reebok and sketchers. We did not buy anything in Nike . Sketchers had buy 1 get 2nd pair half price. (well it would be rude not too lol ). Reebok had 3 for price of 2 . Flip flop were buy 1 get 1 free. Socks 2 lots of 6 pairs for 18 dollars. They also gad a lot of clothes with big disounts. The guy serving us also let us use the VIP voucher as well .

After our ny part of the holiday we plan to go back for a longer stay. There are lots of sales on ! Taxi ride back to board walk was 23 dollars not bad considering it was 6 pm rush hour.

Oh ! I love reading someone elses reports i can almost imagine myself spending money in all the shops & going back to my resort for a rest till we are ready to venture out again !
Keep up the good report can't wait till its my turn to be there .
Hope the blisters are easing a bit & comfy shoes were bought for the rest of the holidays ! Have lots more fun.

To use an internet connection with the I phone it is £6 per mb. from the US, it can work out extremely expensive

Hi all,

Sorry for the gap - we went to NY for 6 nights and had an amazing time -

We had a reunion with fellow dissers from our med cruise
Saw Wicked on Broadway -(amazing)
We saw Green day at Madison Squ - the highlight of our trip, Kaiser Cheifs were supporting. Green day played for just over 3 hrs and concert did not finish until after midnight
Went up the Empire States Building
Had a horse drawn carrage ride around central park
Shopped

To name but a few things

Im sitting at Saratoga Springs now. We went to the turf club for lunch and it was empty.

We are going to Discovery cove tomorrow then we board the Disney Magic on Saturday.

Its been thundering and raining for 2hrs - hopefully this will clear the air for tomorrow.
