Aloha everyone!
I thought I would do our breakfast review while DH is out on the balcony taking a conference call.
We had 7:30 am ressies at Ohana and that is the best time to go. We have never been here before but the call of fresh yeasty cinnamon bread beckoned so I made ressies.
We rolled out of bed and rolled into Ohana at 7:15 am, first in line and then there was a ton of people behind us. We were seated right at 7:30am to the far left of the restaurant at a window table overlooking the marina. Walking to our seat we picked up our basket of pinapple coconut bread and cinnamon raisin bread. This was amazing, so soft and gooey and darn good!
We were given our juice, the server said it is the same at Boma, Tusker House, Ohana and Kona....it was fantastic and they came around to fill our glasses often.
They do give you regular coffee but we ordered a pressed pot with no problem.
A fresh plate of fruit was delivered and it was out of this world. Watermelon, pineapple, grapes, honedew and cantelope.
Breakfast skillet had biscuits, crispy bacon, spicy delish sausage, nice crisp on the edges potato wedges and the best scrambled eggs in all the land.
They come around with a huge bowl of Mickey waffles, you can have as many as you like at one time...DH had 2 and I had 1. I am not a waffle girl but I tried one and it was so light and crispy and delish that I am NOW a Mickey waffle girl
We sat by the door that the characters come out of. First it was Stitch, Lilo, Mickey and lastly Pluto. The character interaction was the best that we have ever witnessed.
Here is Pluto peeking out of the door...he was playing shy! He would go up to all the guests and sniff them first and then lick all over you!
They had a parade around the restaurant with marrakas (sp?) and the characters were dancing up a storm. DH and I loved this place and cannot wait to take our nieces here in January, they are both huge Stitch fans and lovers of waffles!
Ohana breakfast is a blast!
