well this is our third and sadly final trip to WDW for the summer (next week we board the plane for our very very very very long flight back home)...

it seems that the entire UK is here this week....is anyone left back there?...
or perhaps it's because there are so few people at WDW right now that it just seems as if everyone is british (with a few Europeans of various flavors thrown in)...

in any case, a few highlights:

to say the crowds are light would be an understatement...
there are so few people here in fact, that they don't have fastpasses operating on most of the rides during the week (e.g., no FP on splash mountain, Kali, Dinosaur, etc.)....and they're not needed.....even at high noon, there was no line for any of the above....and while they had FP working at test track, there was no need.....it was a walk on (and a stay on...they didn't make you get off)....

we even accidentally went to the EMH evening hours at the MK last night and it was GREAT!!!!!......no line ANYWHERE.....we even walked right onto grand prix raceway....i haven't been on that in years.....no line....unbelievable...
and no line anywhere else either....amazing....amazing...amazing...
and definitely well worth it....the park is just beautiful late at night like that...
highly recommended when there are so few people here....

Grand Floridian....well for our last stay (10 days this time) i just had to make it the GF....always our favorite....and still our favorite, despite a few issues which i'll cover in my report (if i ever write it)...
one thing's for sure, if you like private dining, this is the place....we're big users of private dining and the GF's is EXCELLENT.....superb food and service....
and we've frequented the spa quite a bit this time as well.....we used it for the first time during our august visit (when we stayed at the WL) and i was sold....the CMs are as nice as can be, and the spa/health club is just wonderful....i can't believe i never tried it before...

oh...and the weather....PERFECT!!!...although i feel as if i'm tempting fate here.....i have never seen such perfect orlando weather.....perfect blue skies every day.....no rain....for that matter, no clouds at all.....definitely not the weather we all know from july...
just beautiful.....

and now we're off.....just 3 more days and then it's a year of withdrawal to contend with...(boohoo)....

Good news about the crowds. There'll be even more Brits there in a few days :rotfl:

Glad you're having a good time.

see you soon

Sounds great :) Making me more excited now :teeth:

good to hear the weather is nice from another brit on her way there !!

Sounds wonderful. Looking forward to reading your trip report!

Enjoy your final 3 days,
Andy

::MickeyMo I'm pleased that you're having a great time, I can't wait to hear all about it ::MinnieMo

That's excellent news about the crowds, add two more Brits (well sort of, i'm Canadian but i've lived here for 10 years...and I feel British even if I don't sound it!) to the small bunch already out there!

Glad you had such a marvellous holiday! :flower:

Glad you are having a great time. I am looking forward to the day when I am not tied down to school holidays, just hope the kids still want to come with us then.

If they don't, I will :rotfl:

Glad to hear you're having a fab time :cool1: I hope the queues stay low, we'll be over in 16 days  Enjoy the rest of your trip.

knock on wood - the weather is stupendous.....possibly not for the locals, since the lawns are looking a bit dry.....there hasn't been a drop of rain since an hour after we landed (which was when Ophelia was right off the coast of cape canaveral)....
since then, not a single drop of rain....perfect weather....we're just in from the swimming pool in fact....

we went to Typhoon Lagoon at 4 PM the day before yesterday and the place was practically deserted (except for at most about 100 other people - pretty much all Brits).....we couldn't get up the stairs of crush and gusher fast enough....what fun....and the lazy river was totally empty.....

which reminds me, they've added two more extra magic hours evenings....one for TL and one for BB.....we didn't use them, since even at 6 PM it's a bit chilly for us (take that last comment with a grain of salt,....we live in an even hotter climate than orlando, so chilly is a relative concept)....

as for evening extra magic hours, clearly there is a big difference between offpeak and peak times of year.....when we were here in July, i wouldn't have gone to an EMH evening if you paid me to.....but last night at MK was heavenly.....and a very nice bonus to staying on property......

Like others can't wait till we can travel outside school holidays. TL (one of my fav places) sounds wonderful - wish I was there. :flower:

Well theres about to be 8 more Brits over there#1 this is my last post, leaving for gatwick airport soon and then flying out tomorrow :cheer2: :cheer2:

we leave WDW tomorrow so this is my last post from here...
weather still amazing and still no crowds at all.....even on the weekend....
everyone who's on your way here, you're going to have a truly magical time!!!

:sunny: Thanks for keeping in touch, have a safe journey home, and we look forward to hearing all about it :)

Glad you are having a great time. Look forwatd to hearing all about it :)
