Day 1 - We made it love the Welcome Home!

What a great first day home! We had great weather and VWL is great.

When we arrive our room was ready and got everything view and floor wise that we requested!

We got some lunch at Rolling Forks after check-in.

Unable to get slot as flag family but will try next trip.

Went by and picked up our gift basket from The Timeshare Store (Great gift thanks guys). Then hit the Publix that is right next door (that was easy).

Got back and we all went to dinner at Whispering Canyon. Wish I would have gotten the fish the ribs were not that great. But was fun too do. My wife asked for a large glass of water they brought her the XXXL version was funny watching her drink it with the two foot straw.

After dinner hit the pool for a bit then caught the water parade from our room good view of Bay Lake through the trees from 5th floor.

This has been a great start to our first trip home. Will update more tomorrow.

On the list for tomorrow.

AK and MK.

Joe

What fun! A live report. Can't wait for more details. I enjoyed an XXXL soda and about sloshed my way back to my room after. Good times :goodvibes

Have a great time and leave the light on we are headed to VWL in 50 days and we are getting excited. I will be reading to find out how much fun you all have!

Thanks for the live TR!

I agree with you the WCC dinner is lagging behind their breakfast as far as taste goes.
Do you see any rehab work going on? Did you get a renovated room?
We are leaving on the 7th for the BCV and then back to Disney and the VWL for Thanksgiving:lovestruc !
Thanks for any info you can give and we love that place.:cloud9:

Ahhh, VWL! I wish I was there (will be this Dec :goodvibes ).

Have fun! :thumbsup2

Hey Joe

Have a great trip! Sounds like you are off to a great start.

Sent you a PM

Yeah, WCC's ribs have gone way down, unfortunately.

I hope that Roaring Fork is still good. Please let us know.

But, you are at our beloved lodge and that is the best place in the world to be, literally and figuratively!

I want to hear what you see going on for the refurb also. I will be there in April, so I assume all the work will be done by then.

Have a wonderful time - can't wait to hear more

Is there still construction going on. I thought they were totally redoing the 5th floor. Do you have a rehabbed room? Have you noticed any construction.
I will be arriving to WLV on 10-12.
Looking forward to your live report:goodvibes
Thanks
Kerri

Sounds like much fun! :goodvibes We just got back from an extended weekend: spent two nights at WL concierge (cash ressie), and two nights at BWV. Our WL room was right next to the Yosemite Suite. The elevator was right around the corner and put us right at the pool.

We didn't eat at Whispering Canyon this trip, but had their all-you-can-eat skillet in July on our last visit. We thought the ribs were okay, but our consensus pick for ribs at WDW are the ones at Flame Tree in Animal Kingdom. :thumbsup2

Also, noticing your screen name: have you had a chance to do the Steam Train tour? We did that on Monday the 29th. Highly recommended. Believe me, those RR firemen and engineers are some of the hardest working folks at WDW!

AWESOME. A live trip report. Thanks Joe. Sorry to hear about the ribs. Looking forward to more. Enjoy your vacation.

Rob

Sounds great and can't wait to hear more! If there is a lodge thread, I'm there!

A live TR from the WL - this is great. I just got back from a week stay at OKW (was booked at POP for free dining but used a Interval International bonus week at the last minute for a 1 BD at OKW) and spent a lot of time at my DVC home. I spent most of the day Friday (26th) at the Villas pool and soaked it all up. We'll be heading back again and staying at the WLV right after Turkey Day :santa: - can't wait. Please let us know how the open up couch is and if your room was renovated.
Thanks

Day 2 - Awesome Weather and low crowds!

Started the day at AK and had breakfast at Tusker House.

Was great food very good would recommend highly.

We spent most of the day at AK. Then after nap time we went to MK.

While Katie and Molly took a nap I snapped lodge photos.

Had dinner at Castle but have to say do the breakfast if you want to see the all the royal ladies. Dinner was Fairy Godmother and her mice helpers.

Well getting late but did setup photo for you all to look at:

Will add new photos as I get them.

Good night.

On tap for tomorrow back to MK for the day!
