Is there still construction going on. I thought they were totally redoing the 5th floor. Do you have a rehabbed room? Have you noticed any construction.
I will be arriving to WLV on 10-12.

Yes all the 5th floor rooms are done and no issue with construction. We are heading home on the 10th so maybe you will get our room once we leave and mousekeeping cleans it up for ya.

Sounds like much fun! We just got back from an extended weekend: spent two nights at WL concierge (cash ressie), and two nights at BWV. Our WL room was right next to the Yosemite Suite. The elevator was right around the corner and put us right at the pool.

We didn't eat at Whispering Canyon this trip, but had their all-you-can-eat skillet in July on our last visit. We thought the ribs were okay, but our consensus pick for ribs at WDW are the ones at Flame Tree in Animal Kingdom.

Also, noticing your screen name: have you had a chance to do the Steam Train tour? We did that on Monday the 29th. Highly recommended. Believe me, those RR firemen and engineers are some of the hardest working folks at WDW!

No plans to do the Steam Train Tour this trip but have in the past it is fun to see the round house.

I plan on doing the meet they are having in CP on the 7th.

Your daughter is adorable She seems a little timid around the characters, but warmed right up to the Mickey DVC topiary & looked like she was loving the dig site. An environmentalist in the making? LOL.

You've totally stirred up the VWL need-that-add-on in me again. Keep the report coming!

Day 3 - Another great day!

We started our day with breakfast at Crystal Palace then over to fantasy land to ride with no waits at all! Got all the rides done and went back to VWL for nap time.

We had dinner at Artist Point was worried about taking Katie but she was good and we all had a wonderful meal.

We took the boat over to MK to end the day with Spectro Magic Parade.

On tap for Day 4.

Can anyone post the info for the steam train tour that is offered at WLV? I only see the train tour posted for Magic Kingdom. My husband would absolutely love any of these steam train tours. I am especially interested in the one held at the lodge. Thanks!

The info is listed in the Villas lobby in the Iron Spike Room. I'm sure you could call the Lodge to get the dates for when you'd be there. I did the talk last summer and it was great! Lots of info about trains and Walt and VWL! Definitely worth taking an hour out of your day!
