What's not to love, right? Beats the pants out of Chicago weather now! Got in about 8pm last night and are in two ocean view inn rooms on the 4th floor! Made it to the campfire for smores and songs and to the Green Cabin til midnight where we watched some folks sing and dance.
This morning was a little chilly with the breeze and clouds, but warmed up nicely now!

The only downer was I was hoping for new refillable mugs, since I have 8-10 at home and was told by the CM in the giftshop that they only had the old ones. Fast forward to this morning when DH just bought coffee in paper cups and then we headed go the pool to find the new mugs at Bleachers. We found out from THAT CM the cups came in Sunday night! Now I understand getting rid of old stock first, but I specifically asked for the new desigh! Oh well! If that's my only problem...I'm good!

Well, just so you feel even better about leaving the weather in Chicago, I went out to my car last night and there was snow on it. :confused3 Ugh, wish I was there....

Have a great time. We have only been to Vero once, but are planning a trip down there next summer.

Have a WONDERFULL time! Yesterday it was Sunny and 75 just west Of Indy 24 hours Later overcast and 37 cold degree's....Shawnpirate:

I could sit on that beach all day!!!!....was there in august, rented the chairs with the umbrella and spent two full days at the beach!!!

We were there in January and I am SO missing Vero! Bet it's warmer for you now than it was for us then...but it didn't matter, it was better than Minnesota either way. Enjoy the rest of your stay!! :goodvibes

If you would be so kind, please tell us about the beach and the water.

Will you be eating out at any restaurants?

I'm especially interested in hearing about Captain Hiram's, Riverside Cafe, Squid Lips, and Orchid Island Pizza.

Although, I'm always in for any and all Disney resort information. :rotfl:

We are @ Vero Beach for the 1st time, love it! The views from the 3BR cottage are amazing. The water is clear, sandy bottom, 89 degrees today:), pool is great, there is a kiddie water area/playground & mini golf. We have only eaten here at the resort x2, poolside burgers (great) & shutters (bbq pirate party was well worth the price). We did order pizza from Orchid Island Pizza & it was really good, much easier to walk or drive up the street to pick up as the delivery wait time was over an hour.
DEFINITELY plan on returning to Vero! No complaints at all.

Have fun ! I'll be there May 3 :goodvibes

Squid Lips is good RumpleMom...nothing fancy.....very casual, but good food !

I hope you all continue to enjoy VB! We'll be there with the whole gang for the June 10th weekend!

Bobbi:goodvibes

I was just looking at Vero Beach - alittle longer term planning (2014 for our 15 year anniversary)! I can't help myself! I already have 2012 and 2013 figured out and since I want to stay "in the Disney moment" I figured, heck! why not look into Vero!

So I can't find any pictures of the one bedrooms though. I guess I can go through the thread and see if there are any in there.

Have a great time and enjoy!

Enjoy your trip! I love Vero and could stay there a few days here and there but DS prefers the Orlando area to the beach! Maybe we'll make it just adult trips when he's away at college!

You might try Aunt Louisa's Pizzeria and the Mo Bay Grill by Publix in the shopping strip in the North end of Sebastian.

We're heading to Vero on May 1st and staying for one night, before heading to BWV :) Decided to relax at the beach for the day to relax and get used to the time change (we're from the west coast) before heading to the parks.:cool1:
