Live from Vero Beach

Finally we made it to the resort a few hours later than I thought.

It is a very beautiful resort. Although our room needs a bit of tlc. We are in a Garden View Inn Room. It overlooks the front of the main bldg.

My daughter hasn't felt 100 percent and is running a fever so we spent most of our time in the room yesterday and this morning.

We did get to the beach for a little today and it was very rough. My daughter was in ankle deep and a huge wave reached her shoulders. I went in and it was "wipe out once then when I got up knocked down again". We just sat on the beach after that.

There was one turtle nest right under the boardwalk. The sand is very much like gravel and lots of crushed up shells. Really gets into the bathing suit.

She slept at the pool under a palm tree for two hours.

We hung in the room and then picked up more Motrin, Tylenol and a thermometer.

I got dinner at bleachers and we ate in the room. We went down to the pool for the movie. It was Nemo. My daughter loved it. Showers and bed. Well I'll surfing.

It wasnt all that long ago 2 Weeks I was watching Wall-E on that big inflatable screen.

Enjoy your trip. 2 Weeks ago the ocean was like glass.... so you never know!!!!

Be cautious in the ocean. The recent tropical storms have created dangerous rip tides all along the Atlantic coast. I hope your daughter feels better soon!

Thanks we are being very careful. It was very hot today and only stayed on the beach about 1/2 hour since the water was still very rough.

She is feeling a little better. She met a nice girl her age today. We hung out with her family and enjoyed the pool and talking.

We did the camp fire sing along with smores tonight. She did feel 100 percent so we didn't get to go the Squid lips or Mr. Manatees for dinner but we had peanut butter sandwiches in the room.

Off to Walt Disney World tomorrow for seven days. yeah
