We are here and the weather is Great. I was able to pull off the surprise. Dh and DBIL did not even know until we arrived at the port. They are really taking precautions to prevent the Norwalk virus. ALL people and grew must wash hands with a wipe before entering the ship, GREAT!

Will post more later any qestion feel free to ask. Have to run for the drill.

Thanks for all the info to my fellow Disers.

It's nice to hear that they are taking more precautions about sickness on board. When we were on the 1/13 Wonder they only had towelettes at the entry of each restaurant, and of course they had little cards in each stateroom about washing your hands, etc.
I hope that you have a wonderful time, and post more when you can...I love reading the LIVE posts!!!

Have a WONDERful cruise. Thanks for checking in!!
Glad to hear they are taking extra steps to prevent the illness.
Hope to hear more from you.

Have a WONDERful time! Thanks for the great news on the weather.

When you get a chance, let us know how the seas were.

:sunny:

I hope you are having a wonderful time also.

We leave in 10 days so we're right behind you. Can't wait to hear what is going on with the Pirate Night (I pray that have fireworks now!)

Hi Dee,

I got this photo as you requested in your PM. I'm going over to the Two Palms site to try and catch the Wonder as she sails by.

Thanks for the live posts! My parents are on the Wonder right now and since I know they won't be on a computer this weekend it will be great to read your live reports.

Have a great time!! :sunny:

I hope everything is going well. The surprise sounds like it went off well. You sound like such a wonderful person, and are a great help to a lot of people's questions here, so have a Wonderful time with your family...

Last night we were in Tritons for dinner. We have Mario and Jojo and they were on top of it. It is my brother and nephew's (4) first cruise. My brother is SOLD. Dinner was grat. I had cod and it was out of this world. My nephew fell asleep at dinner. Poor kid. We did get changed to early seating when we checked in. Dh was very happy. We went to the Oceaneers club to register my DN and he did not want to leave. My brother was shocked. He normally stays close by his daddy. The Mickey pool was closed yesterday when we boarded. The were working on it and painting inside it. It is open today and busy. The weather on top deck was in the 60's last night and a little chilly.

We are now in Nassau, the sky is clear, water was smooth and the temp is in the 70's (I think) It is warm and everyone is in shorts and sandals. :sunny: Sure better then being in the snow and all bundeled up. :cold:

We are in 7620 which is a cat 7. It has plexi glass, this s our first time with the plexi glass on the balcaony and we have decided to change rooms for 2006. We love it and now I know what all the fuss was about some time ago in another thread. It was awesome to lay in bed and watch the sea go by.

I will tell you that people do not get the NO CHILDREN in the cove. Some woman just left with her crying kids in a stroller and the CM just made another one leave, she was not at all happy. Guess they cannot read.

Well my only complaint is that this is a 3 day cruise and it will be over way to soon. :hourglass Otherwise it is wonderful. :wave2:

ANdy thanks for the photos. It is an awsome memory. You are the greatest.

Well the pirate party was tonight and is still going on as I type here in the Cove Cafe. The weather turned on us this afternoon and we had a few squawls of rain and wind. It did not dampen the zoo and city tour though (not the right name). It was enjoyable and neat to see the birds of the Bahamas. They even have a show with the flamingos.

Dinner tonight (for us) was in Animators Palete. Not quite the same with the pirate garb on the crew.

Pirate night gets a thumbs up from us. My DN(4) is having a blast and is participating in the festivities.

I met Sheelysmom (fellow Diser) on our excursion today. What a nice family. My DN and her DD hit it off and became instant friends. Tomorrow we will be at Castaway Cay.

Dee, I JUST found your thread and was reading it when you PM'd....LOL :rotfl2:

So glad you are having a nice time....and isn't the plexiglass awesome....it is hard to go back to a different cabin - I love to lay on the bed and watch the sea go by....each night our room steward would get our bed ready and close the curtains - the first thing we did when we entered the room after dinner was open those curtains!!!!

Enjoy your day at Castaway Cay - I just finished a 6 page CC spread in my scrapbook :jester:.

princess: Sent you an email......go ahead and Thanks :grouphug:

Dee,

My mom was visiting Shirley (from The Perfect Gift) when the Wonder sailed from Port Canaveral on Thursday. My mom said she watched the Wonder sail up the channel, if I had known that, I would have had her taken some more photos for you. Enjoy your day at CC!!!

Andy

Andy, thanks for the thouhght.

Well today we are at Castaway Cay. Wow it was great. The weather was beautiful. The water is chilly, but that did not stop a lot of people.

Cookies BBQ was great. We also went over to Serenity bay and had a snack there. Great fruit selection.

There are a lot of flowers in bloom now and the brown foilage is slowly being taken over by the green.

My sister and brother parasailed and loved it. My DB (scrooge) thought it was worth the 70.00. go figure I did see that this afternoon parasailing had to be cancelled because of hidh wind.

Well we are going to run to scoops for a snack to hold us over to dinner. We are in Parrot Cay tonight.

I will try to update more this evening.

My opinion, if if you are a seasoned cruiser. This is the best long weekend trip ever and my DH (scrooge #1) is nothing but smiles. I am glad I kept it as a surprise, he may have said no otherwise and would have missed out on a great birthday celebration.

I highly recommend this.

So glad to hear this - it was looking a little 'sad' when we were there in November ......

Dee - was the water any warmer in Serenity Bay? I was hoping that even if the water was chilly on the family beach that Serenity Bay would be somewhat warmer since it is rather shallow... I'm crossing my fingers - just under two weeks to get warmer water!!! :cold:

Thanks for the updates!!!
