Live from the Wonder 1/27

Disneybride.... the water was no different on either side. In fact no one was in the water at serenity bay.

Well as all good thing do, this cruise has officially come to an end. We docked about 530am. It was a sad site to se them mooring us to the dock (new word I learned, how do you like it ?:rotfl2: ).

Well I went to deck 9 and 10 last night to watch the Magic sail by, but no sighting. I stayed on my balcony till well after misnight and then gave up :sad2: I was unsure if the ship sailed on time as no one had posted yet.

We are all sunburned and loving it. We went to the cocktail party with the crew last night and they said this was the best weather they had had in a few cruises. I wonder if that is because I am the FGM and I used my magic wand to turn this surprise birthday cruise into something magical. :rotfl:
None the less it was wonderful. Did I say that before?

If I had to do things over (or if Disney would make some changes) my rathers would be as follows:

Pirate night be in the Parrot Cay pirate: . We had it when we were in Animators and it really takes away from the show. Something about pirates vests n the crew and the show did not quite match. The show is cute in all, but animators is a special show all by its self.

I think they could do the deck show seperate, but that is my opinion.

This is really the only change I would make. My only other complaint was the black mold in my tub and the fact that our room steward did not appear to clean. Before you ask I did annotate that. I would have told him differently, but I did not know who he was till I went to do the tip last night and guest services gave me his name. I did leave him the requested tip becaue he did make towel sculptures and turn the bed down. We have usually had them come introduce themselves and at least leave a card with their name. Guess he was busy. My DB and DBIL had Excellant service.

We also did get our 50.00 on board credit, so that call after the New Year did pay off.

We have breakfast in Parrot Cay this mrning and then off the ship. We used Southern Elegance Limo and had a stretch limo. It was wonderfl and they were on time getting us from the airport. I have no reason to think they will not be here to pick us up as we have 1030am flights.

I will post when I get back home today, providing the wether does not prevent that.

Thanks to all for you comments, support and info. :disrocks:

Have a safe trip home, I enjoyed reading your live reports!!! We had a little more snow overnight here in southern NJ, not sure what it is doing in the Virginia Beach area.

Yea, our dog had to go out early this morning. Usually I'm up by 6:00, but I din't get to bed until after 1:30 this morning, so I thought I would get to sleep in a little bit later, didn't work out that way, LOL!!!

On our cruise a few weeks ago, I woke up at 3:30am the morning we were arriving back at Port Canaveral. We were close enough to the coast where I could see all the lights. I just stood there on the verandah watching the stars, making a few wishes, watching the fishing boats head out to open waters, and watching the sea gulls fly around the ship until we docked around 5:30am. One of the wishes I made that early morning appears to be coming true, hopefully by the end of this year, I will be retired and we will be moving to Florida. I made a few other wishes on that star, and I hope they come true as well.

"When you wish upon a star, makes no difference who you are, anything your heart desires will come to you. If your heart is in your dream, no request is too extreme, when you wish upon a star as dreamers do. Fate is kind, she brings to those who love, the sweet fullfillment of their secret longing. Like a bolt out of the blue, fate steps in and sees you through, when you wish upon a star your dreams come true."

Thanks Dee :wizard: - really enjoyed your updates ......and I agree it must take away from the AP "Show" with Pirate Gear.....half the fun is seeing the waiters changing their outfits along with the walls! I was in PC for Pirate night and it was GREAT! Too bad they can't do that 'show' as a rotating one for your second night in PC on the 7 day.

Andy, also glad about your good news :cool1: ..... I know you won't miss this snowy :cold: weather we have been having - a light dusting out east last night as well.

What a trip home. I finally got home a little after 11 this morning. The flights were delayed and cancelled due to the weather in Orlando. The airport in Orlando was nuts. It took the better part of an hour just to get through security, not to mention trying to get checked in at Delta.

We had 1130 flights, not 1030, but we would have easly made 1030 flights. he limo was there and ready when we disembaked. It was a smooth trip.

e loved the long weekend and are thinking of doing it again, but on another cruise line. When DCL makes changes we will come back. You can only see the Golden Mickey's just so many times. HA HA
