Decided to keep a bit of a live journal - we're on ME right now, about 30 minutes out from the Poly!

Cast will be me, dh -T, ds1 - C (almost 9) and ds/dd - W and Q (6 year old twins). We'll be joined by friends off and on throughout the trip!

Today's agenda items include a cabana at the Poly from 10-2 and the Luau tonight with friends who live locally here on Orlando.

I'll be doing updates from the disboards section of eTicket during the day, and will try to do some "real" updates in the evening.

Come on along! It's going to be a great ride. The more, the merrier!

Coming along for the ride!! Have you hit the cabana and/or the Lapu Lapu's yet?!!

T and I are soaking up the sun at the cabana while the kids are soaking up the slide !! It's so nice to have time with my husband - it's such a rarity with his travel schedule and the kids sports.

Lunch must come before Lapu Lapus, though I do have my spork primed and at the ready!! Breakfast was at 4 am, so lunch will be ordered the instant the clock strikes 11:30!!

We're thrilled to be first floor LV in Tuvalu - which has a great view of Space Mountain and the spire of Cindy's castle. So - you know what that means!! Wishes on the patio!!

Oh - and welcome to all!!

You'll know when I'm updating for real by my copious use of smilies! Sadly, eTicket updates don't seem to offer such fabulousness.

Your room location sounds fantastic and so does lying out in the cabana. Makes me want to stay at the Poly. Lunch and a lapu lapus sounds like a wonderful way to start off a vacation

Lunch, 1 Lapu Lapu and a Piña Colava down. Upgraded cabana to full day - T was hooked!! Q and I just rocked "name that Disney movie" and she's the proud new owner of a surfboard keychain.

This is definitely the way to ease into Disney.

(and as an aside - I'm pretty sure T is officially hooked on the Poly. Hurray!! My plan is working - ha!!)

Awesome day! I am dying to try the Pina Colava on our trip, the Lapu Lapu is too strong for a light weight like me (back in the day is another story:cutie:) - w/ out starting a Lapu controversy, was the Pina Colava good? Was it as good (or dare I say better) than the Lapu Lapu?;)

Sorry, forgot to ask - what did you have for lunch, and did the cabana attendant bring you lunch and the cocktails?:worship:

Sliding over from the Poly boards to subscribe. I'm enjoying your vacation so far! You make me want to add a day to spend at the cabana!

Lunch - we ordered from Private Dining, so that CM brought it out.

We split the sticky wings, I had the beef teriyaki salad, T had the island chicken sandwich. The kids, in all their adventurous eating, had hot dogs and fries.

Our attendant, Heather, has been wonderful. She adjusted our rental to full day w/o us having to lift a finger, and has been great about keeping the drinks flowing and the relaxation high.

We're getting ready to head back to the room in shifts to get ready for the luau - our friends from here in town just called and they're en route.

The weather is wonderful, albeit HOT. But hey, it was 49* at home when left this morning, so no complaints from me!

Have seen some with wristbands, but definitely not everyone.

Lunch sounded good and how great was it that the attendant was able to adjust your cabana time for you

Love that luau , have a wonderful time tonight with your friends

From one Hoosier to another -- hope you have a fabulous trip! We won't be there until Sept, so for now I'll live vicariously through you!
I'm really interested in the cabana--sounds great!

Coming along for the ride!!
Hiya!!!:wave2:

I have to say, that we were all coming into this vacation a little rough and ragged. So, easing into it with a pool and cabana day was **just** what the dr ordered! :thumbsup2

Joining in - can't wait to go back in September :thumbsup2

And in September, I'll be wishing I was back :sad1:

Let's just say that there was *one* LL consumed today, and...ahem...more than one Pina Colava :rotfl:

Aloooooha! Along for the ride :)

22 days and counting!

Welcome!!
