Live From the May Repositioning Cruise

Just wanted to add my two cents worth of thank yous to all that have been reporting from the Magic and the pictures. I agree with what someone else said it's almost like being there. What a great opportunity you all on board are having! Memories that will last a lifetime! Thanks again!

Huge THANKS to those sending the photos and to Verandah Man for posting them! I rush to read this thread each day just for the updates. Would rather be on the ship, but being here with ya'll is the next best thing! :grouphug:

OKAY, does anyone know if there is a limit to the ammount of alcohol you can bring on board with you? The people on my regular page are FREAKING OUT, seeing as how we get on the ship in 4 days. SOMEBODY HELP US!!!!

I should have know that there would be pix posted already. :teeth:

We commandeered the atrium last night for the group photo. They had to do an "aerial" shot from an upper balcony, just too many of us to fit in otherwise.

The Cliff Divers were awesome but the lunch was terrible. When we got back to our room last night there was a message letting us know that the're refunding 25% of the cost. I hadn't complained yet, but I was planning to, it was really bad.

I spotted Ducky Williams in his pirate garb last night. I plan on going to one of his talks today. We had a notice in our stateroom advising that he'll sign one piece of our choosing. We have to drop it off at a designated time/place and it will be returned on Friday.

Today's challenge is doing a load of laundry. We got lucky in Curacao when we returned to the ship early, but these days at sea are busy, busy, busy when it comes to the wash.

There's a second Castaway Club reception scheduled for today.

Lots going on. The Folkloric show last night was wonderful. I missed the beginning but I'm so glad that I decided to go despite being a bit late.

"Sea" you later!!! :flower: :flower: :flower:

I have to agree that the pirate's night was the best party of the cruise. just wonderful. can't wait to see the disers pirate group picture with mickey.

Regina....I heard that "tonight" at the 2nd CC reception is when you are all getting the "scoop" on the drydock upgrades and even a "special bit of inside news"......just a hint.....listen closely for a "third ship" being mentioned! :cool1:

Peter.....you have made this board such a hit with your pic phone...another "rumor" is you have DCL scrambling to try and make sure pics ARE accessible from the ship to folks like us......you have caused quite a buzz both on land and at sea......GOOD JOB!!! Remember Disney is all about "emotion" that is how they have been so successful......it's like that "new car smell" at a car dealership!! And the emotions are oooozing here on these boards.....

Yeah! I think it is way past due for the Magic and Wonder to have a BABY!!

Since the Magic and Wonder are like family to many of us it would be a grand event to welcome a new addition. (sorry for being off topic) :earboy2:

Just a quick FYI. If any of you submitted photos for the Disneyland collages, the emails are out saying if you were selected. They chose all 5 of ours!!! They tell you what pictures they chose and exactly where to look for them.

They will only list up to 5 photos. They used a bunch of my photos multiple times. I think in all 18 times. My email only lists 5, but the Kiosks will list all. When you print the list it does not give you the title you chose for the picture. However the Kiosk does list the title and shows a small pic. So I wrote down a description next to all of mine. It is a lot easier to find your pic if you know what one to look for.

The President of the Cruise Line spoke this morning and talked about the following changes in Dry Dock:

The spa area will be remodelled and pushed all the way to the front of the ship and windows will look out over the front of the ship they will add special private rooms for couples massages.

THIS IS THE BEST
On the upper deck of the ship they are adding a jumbo tron type display so that they can show movies under the stars and also enhance the sailaway parties will be 24 feet wide and I think 15 feet tall.

The conference rooms are being eliminated and replaced with more childrens areas, they will be computer simulations and actually allow the kids to pretend to dock the ship.

On Castaway Cay they are adding swimming with the stingrays

More ships are coming as soon as the exchange rates are better

2007 should see new ports of call mainly from the United States, no plans yet for Hawaii or Foreign Ports.

Think that covers the highlights.

Off to see Don Ducky Williams now.

Woo Hoo! The Magic and Wonder will be proud new parents of a Boucin' Baby Cruise Ship

I hope this means a 12-14 year old group may be forming! That would be super!

When is dry dock? And do you think these things will also happen on the Wonder?

Thanks!

The Disney Magic will be in Dry Dock from October 1, 2005 to October 14, 2005.

so I'll be on te 1st sailing after drydock. We've named it the Molar Express because a bunch of us have had various dental problems since booking.

Later,
Paul

Let's hope the Dumbo Tron is ready 1st week out! Maybe hook up a PS2 to it and play Dumbotron SoComm!!

Thank you for the updates on the dry dock. I did think conference rooms were kind of a waste of space. Too hard to get work done on this ship! I too hope there is a new area for the Pre-teen set as my #1DS will be 12 at the time of sailing.

I would love to do a swimming with the sting rays at CC!

Glad you are enjoying your trip. Thanks to all who are sharing.

I like llyolf's name, "Dumbo tron".....got a good laugh at that.

Princess introduced a "Movies under the stars" program on several of their ships in the last year or so. It caused quite the debate on the Princess boards over at that "other cruise line message boards". Many people thought it would ruin the ship and pool area. Many others, me included, thought it sounded like fun to hang out by the pool, or in it, and watch a movie at night. What do disers think about the idea? Anyone against watching Cinderella in the moonlight?

Any word on where the screen will be? I assume it will be visible from the goofy pool, but maybe they have other plans.
